Sunshine Retirement Home is just a house. It's a residential care home. I would describe it as poor. I was not happy with it from the time we stepped through the door. The staff were not overly pleasant; they were just cordial. The dining area was very basic. Just the dining room and chairs outside the kitchen. The rooms were very basic too. The upkeep and maintenance were minimal.
They said they had activities but I don't know how they could because of the way it was set up. I asked if they had activities and the staff went, "Oh, yeah" and that's it. She wouldn't even explain so just with her whole demeanor, I knew they didn't have activities for the residents.
The only thing they had was a patio, and when we went out there, they said, "Oh, it's too hot, let's go back inside." They said residents set out in the morning and have coffee out there.
