My dad was here for 6 1\2 years.I was very happy with everything, until he passed. They cleared out his room and tossed most of everything he owned away. To this day my heart is still sad I can't believe that they didn't even try to get me back his belonging's.I had a month to clear out his room and after two weeks they dumped it ALL!!! From a very sad daughter Laurie Keith.

Sun Oak Assisted Living has double rooms. You could have a single room, but you still pay the price of a double. It's a really nice place and the people were great. The dining area looked nice. The place seemed warm and had a very homey atmosphere. They have bowling.

Our visit with Sun Oak Assisted Living was nice, and they treated us very well. I talked to some of the people who live there and two young ladies expressed how happy they were there, which made me happy as well. It's an older building, but it's pretty clean. It seemed rundown, and they didn't care. They care about everybody but the building was worn out and old. They didn't know we were coming even though we made arrangements.

My mom has been in Sun Oak for almost a year. I could not ask for a better place for my mom to fit in. She's happy there & she's a very affectionate & social lady. The activities that they have there are great, daily exercise for the more mobile people, then exercises for those in wheel chairs. Bingo, board games, pool table, computer available, memory games, playing the piano in the dining room, those who want to dance are urged to do so. They have an entertainer/singer usually twice a month. There's been several special event parties & the facility goes ALL OUT for residents & their families. I've been there when they had a meeting asking all the residents what they like & don't like about the food served. I've been there during serving & it all looks appetizing & smells great. They are FAMILY to us. My mother is treated with so much concern & love. Several of us that visit are all huggie & kissy with most all of the staff & the residents. I LOVE IT & I would refer them to those looking for a loving & far facilit

This facility used to be great. However, since they began cutting back on the amount and flavor of the meals my family member refused to eat it and began losing weight. I have since moved her to a much better facility and her weight is now back to normal and she's so much happier. . If you think about it food is all the elderly live for and they can't live long on what they're now being served at Sun Oak. .

Sun Oak is a good facility. I talked to one lady who was good. It was clean, entertaining, and attractive. The rooms were modest. The dining area looked clean and very presentable. The pricing was about $4,400 with memory care.

We went to Sun Oak Assisted Living for a tour, and it was a very nice place. They were fantastic. The place is clean, and it didn’t smell like medicine. The rooms were nice, and it's two people per room. I surely would recommend this place.

My wife was in Sun Oak before. It was a very good location. She was in there just after she had a rough time with her health, and they were very kind and helpful with her and helped her get back on her feet. I am forever grateful for the warmth that they gave her the whole time. Rooms, activities, food -- everything was really well done. One of the things I liked about it was that their structure was completely enclosed on the exterior, so that they can have both Alzheimer's patients and other types of patients in the same facility without people feeling enclosed. It was a very pleasant environment for that purpose, and the staff there was just wonderful -- really good people. They were really special.

My brother is in Sun Oak Assisted Living. I could not recommend a better place. I like everything about it. My family says the food is great. The apartments are nice and clean. They have physical therapy. The staff is professional.

There is no perfect place around, but they seem to be doing a good job here at Sun Oak. I don't need assisted living myself, but I am here with my wife. I have a feeling that I really shouldn't abandon her and at least try to work with her and go through whatever she is going through. The place is fairly institutionalized, but for an institution, the cleanliness is above average. The staffs are friendly and accommodating because whatever I ask, they'll do. I am in the assisted living center. The rooms are small, but I really don't have any complaints.

The staff is good at Sun Oak. My parents’ apartment is only 340 square feet. There is a memory care locked facility with rooms of the same size. The total population is about 72 residents. They have a beautiful dining room. They serve three meals a day plus a little snack. It looks like a restaurant. They have activities like bingo and watching movies, and they take them out to shopping centers and to various events. They have a haircutting salon on site. They also have bible studies and sing-alongs. Security is good. If there is one thing they can improve on, it may be the food. My mom says it is a little bland.

Sun Oak was an older facility but it was very nice and airy. It has a nice backyard where they could garden if they want to, there was a walking path which was pretty long and it was gated. They had a nice game room and everything was very clean, neat and new looking. I watched the helpers and they were very kind with the residents. I’ve been there for lunch and it was very nice and the food was nutritious which I liked. I was very impressed because they didn’t try to impress me.
