The Pines, A Merrill Gardens Community is an excellent, caring, and attentive place. They are making sure my mom gets everything she needs, her meds, and her food. There are activities offered and they took all the precautions during COVID and got them all shots. I would give them a very, very high, high-grade review. It's very new looking, clean, and I was able to have many meals there before COVID hit. It has not been open since then for outside guests to eat there, but when I did eat there, the food had a great variety and wonderful quality. I would choose to eat there myself. They also have a theater, a salon, a game room, a dining room, a lobby for guests, a patio outside for guests, a patio with a fireplace outside, a balcony for viewing, a puzzle room, a library, laundry rooms, and a bistro for small gatherings and activities. I've also seen them having happy hours, music events, bingo, games, trivia nights, and crafts. They have quite a few activities. Also, they do travel days where they take people on rides around the area if they sign up for it. It's hard to find anything better than them.

My mother moved into the Pines. They’re amazing and I have no complaints whatsoever. They’re a top of the line facility. They make her feel very warm and comfortable. They have studio apartments, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms in both memory care and assisted living. They have aerobics, outside activities like going to the casino, they go on outings, and they go out to dinner. They have movies on hand, card games, art classes, and they have a library, exercise room, and outdoor walking areas.

The Pines was very good and very nice. The negative thing is that we're paying for skilled care that my mother did not need; because they are licensed, it's expensive. The staff members I met were all nice. I loved the place, everything about it is gorgeous. The apartments were small and didn't have a kitchen, just a microwave.

The facility was shut down due to several cases of the flu. My mother is in the facility and the way the residents are treated during this shut down is terrible. They basically have to stay in their rooms all day, only cold meals delivered to them and the same cold meals every day. . Once a resident rings for a caregiver it takes so long for someone to respond. This place is so mismanaged. They just raised their prices too, definitely not worth the money they charge.

The Pines was very nice, but expensive. I visited a friend in hospice and the room was small. The dining area looked extremely nice. The place was clean, well-maintained, and brand new.

The Pines was really nice, and the people were great. It had a movie room and a nice, big dining room. They took the residents on trips.

The Pines is like a combination of being in a lovely, spacious, bright and sunny hotel, but it's your home. It's nice as a nice hotel and the lovely lobby and things, but you can dress comfortably, sit in the lobby, and have your family there too. Its the environment. I'm in the dining room right now, and it is large. You can eat anytime you want. You don't have to come at a certain time to eat. They serve you restaurant style; you can pick off the menu and so on. They learn your name right away. They start calling you by your name. I'm almost like a celebrity. The caregivers have a pendant system where you press the button and they can tell who you are and where you are, and they'll come within about a couple of minutes to 5 minutes depending on the business, and they know you already. I just came from a lecture for problem sleeping, and it is going to be every week during the month of August, so I found that interesting. I've played some of the games like the current events. I am a joiner, so I tend to pick out things. I like the people. I like mixing with people.

The Pines was very nice, very clean, and the staff answered all of my questions. It was very new, so the rooms were clean and very accommodating. The dining area was very large. The price was comparable to the other facilities in the area. It was close to the freeway, so it was convenient to get there.

Merill Gardens was great and probably where we’ll place my mom because we liked it a lot. The dining area was open all day, and there aren’t set hours to eat. They had all kinds of activities, needlework, crafts, computers, and exercise classes. They had a hair salon where mom can go twice a week for $50 total to have her hair shampooed and set. They can stay in their room and do not have to move even if they require additional care.

The Pines was a new building that had a very nice entrance and excellent outdoor spaces. Mobility for residents was really good. There weren't a lot of wheelchairs. It had very nice views. The rooms were on the small side. They had a library. The food was nice, hot, and good. The open spaces were nice, and the residents were participatory. The grounds were very well kept and nice.

I visited Merrill Gardens probably once every two or three months. My daughter lived in close proximity, so I spent time with her, then went to Merill Gardens to have a meal and meet with my lady friend. The dining area was very good. The food was well presented with a really balanced menu throughout the week. It had good service.

The Pines is a brand-new facility that looks like a gorgeous, five-star hotel. They have lovely dinners there. As for the staff, you couldn’t ask for them to be more personable. They’re very good with my dad and keep the rooms clean. His room is small, but he did insist on having his queen-size bed, so that’s his fault. I definitely recommend this community.

After visiting 7 places, we decided on this one for our Mom. We loved the 7-7 dining, and the warm and beautiful atmosphere. I think the main reason for us was that they had a nurse on duty at all times. The desk reservationists was So nice. Lots of activities and the shuttle service were a real plus.

I didn’t meet any of the staff at The Pines -- just the representative that showed us around. The place was kind of cold. It really wasn’t as good as the other facilities I have visited. Plus, it was too expensive. They have meals all day, so you are never going to meet anyone unless you go at the same time. I just really didn’t like the whole atmosphere.

My father-in-law is in The Pines. It just opened, so it is a brand-new facility, and it's place where you can walk away and feel good about it after. We have been pleased. It was a work in progress in the beginning for him being in a facility for the very first time. We needed one with memory care because that will be needed in the future. They have sitting areas outside, but the trees and landscaping are not fully developed yet because it is brand new. The room itself is a very nice room. He has a nice sitting area, a bedroom, a full size fridge, a little counter, and a bathroom with easy access in and out of the shower. He loves the food; it's delicious, and the presentation is really nice, like a restaurant. They have a lot of activities that he participates in, like outings.

The Pines was brand new, and nobody has moved in yet, so everything was perfect. There were no residents when I went, and its furniture hasn’t even been delivered. There was one woman that helped me, and she was very friendly and very helpful. They had the dining room, the piano was supposed to be delivered -- so they had that common area -- and I think there was a beauty shop there too. It seemed they have movie nights and transportation if you need to go some place.
