Some of the most incompetent staff in the business. My dad is in wheelchair and paralyzed and cannot do anything for himself. He is forgetful and needs to be helped a bit more. You would think that they would make sure to be organized enough to have it in their daily schedule to pay more attention to him. No such thing. When it comes to mealtimes, the “Pals” do not come and get him to take him down to eat. And he is left hungry all the time. He asks for food, and they tell him that the kitchen is closed. They are not trained properly to assist him. Other residents tell me that there is plenty of incompetence going around asl well. It takes 3 people to take him out of his bed and put him in his wheelchair. He weighs 120 pounds. When he complains about the service here are some of the comments he gets. “Do you know who you are talking to?”. Or “You don’t pay my rent”. They have him sitting in the cafeteria for an hour after meals. They tell him, we will be back. They are not attentive to the needs of the residents. They come to his room because he needs help and they leave without properly taking care of his needs and leave. We will be back they say. And don’t come back. They lack staff, training, compassion and patience. I wouldn’t put my dog there to be taken care of. And god knows I adore my dog.

Belmont Village Calabasas was extremely clean and modern, the people were really nice, and it's about 5 minutes from my home. You can get different size rooms depending on the price. The facility was very new. The food was really good and you can order whatever you want. They had music, exercise classes, movies, and a lot of activities.

We visited both assisted living and memory care at Belmont Village Calabasas. It's wonderful. It's beautiful, brand new, and well kept, with fresh flowers. It was just really nice. The person during the tour was very excellent and very helpful. The dining area looked very good for both sides. If I had the money, we would consider it. They have a gym, beautiful outside walking areas, and gardens. It was very well set up. The presentation of the food was very good.
