My grandfather lived at Palace Of Joy in the Tarzana for almost one years and he loved every day of it. After my grandmother's death he decided to move to Los Angeles to be closer to my family but was too stubborn to move in with us (a trait he has passed on to all of his grandchildren) so he moved into Palace Of Joy. The location is fantastic, near the Reseda Tarzana border, and is one of the more beautiful areas of Los Angeles. During his time here he began exercising again in the custom elderly-focused gym, which helped a great deal in moving on as well as getting to know the other residents. When we would visit the staff was always welcoming and I never once saw any employee treating the residents with attitude or rudeness, which I have witnessed far too often at other locations. My grandfather decided to move back to Colorado to be near more family but it was only with sadness that he left his many friends and the staff at Palace Of Joy. Highly Recommend!

I'm in assisted living at PALACE OF JOY. It's good. The rooms are pleasant and the meals are good. I enjoy my company with other residents and they have some good activities also. They have some games just for exercising your mind. There's a daily chair exercise class. I have been involved in establishing a weekly movie and we're also having a monthly opera because we have an opera singer among the residents who is good at recommending particular operas. I've been here for about two years now, but the first year I was sort of in and out with health problems. They're quite clean and well maintained. They have some very nice courtyards that let you sort of have the outside inside, so I have enjoyed all of that. They are starting to have some outdoor activities in the form of going to restaurants or other places. They had a good reputation and it's only a couple of miles from where my daughter live
