I liked Sunrise of La Jolla. It was fine. It was just the cost is prohibitive. The rooms were very nice. The facility was clean. They had a library, and I saw some people doing some exercises. The location actually isn't so good. It was at a very busy corner, and there was high traffic.

I toured Sunrise of La Jolla for my friend. It was a very nicely appointed facility. It has great amenities. They have a piano in the middle of the dining room. Everything was very well kept. I liked that place.
They don't have outdoor facilities, and there is no landscaping. It is just a building, so there's no outdoor area where you can walk around.

I toured Sunrise of La Jolla in person. The rooms were a little depressing, antiquated, and not modern or up to date. I did see the dining area, and it was not inviting.

Sunrise of La Jolla was expensive. It was nice. They offered meals, laundry service, and maid service for the room. It was great. The place was good.

I visited Sunrise of La Jolla, and it was very nice. The rooms were way too small, the closets were very small, like a hotel's room size. It was more than we can pay for. Everybody seemed real nice. The dining room was very nice, and they had a private room if you want to have a family event. I liked that. There was a nice TV/media room.

My aunt was a resident of Sunrise of La Jolla. The place was kept very clean. The rooms were in perfectly good shape, all done up with new carpet, new paint, and there werent any chips in the wood.

Sunrise of La Jolla (Sunrise of Pacific Beach) was nice and also small, which is what my father liked. The staff was very friendly, and everything seemed to be clean. It was in a busy part of town, so it wasn’t what we’d call pretty. The residents looked happy.

Sunrise of Pacific Beach (Sunrise of La Jolla) was fantastic. I really liked it, and I was ready to put my mom in there. The dining room was beautiful, and the staff was awesome, but their price was kind of steep. They have activities all the time like bingo and flower arranging and then they put all the flowers out for the week in the dining room tables and throughout the place. It was beautiful.

Sunrise of La Jolla was very clean. The staff demonstrated a very positive and caring attitude. They had very good programs to keep their residents involved and knew each person personally, so that added a very personal touch. My wife is now past the point of which she is capable of participating in any of the activities at any of the five facilities that I've visited. One difficulty I had was with parking. The only parking is in their basement garage, which is very limited for visitors. I would recommend it, except for the parking problem for visiting family members and friends. There's absolutely no parking outside because it's right between a business street and a residential street, so the only parking is in their basement garage.

At Sunrise of La Jolla, the facility itself was clean. The staff was very nice and had a niche for people. They also had lots of activities available. However, to live there, I think it would be hard for my mom and me. I was greeted very nicely and went on a very nice tour, but the facility just seemed gloomy. It was just assisted living. The high point was that they have walk-in bathtubs, which was a very positive thing to have the ability to be able to safely sit in a tub. That was really nice.

My mom has been at Sunrise of La Jolla for two months now. We love it. It is clean and it is decorated nicely. The employees are friendly. The caregivers seem to care. My mom's room is big, with lots of space. She has an ocean view, and it is clean. They have some exercise programs daily. They have walking tours. They have bus where they take them out and about. Every day they have some sort of class scheduled, like knitting and musical performance. They have random little things every day.

We visited Sunrise of Pacific Beach. We were very pleased with the place. We almost thought we were going to end up there, but we were able to find a place that was a little less expensive for our needs. The one that I was interested in was a two-room apartment. The food appeared to be very adequate. They had something going on for their activities. We like the overall atmosphere, the location, the person we were working with in the administration. We were very happy with everything.

We had a very good experience at Sunrise of La Jolla, and I liked it, but my sister didn’t like it because she felt it was too old. I like antiques while she likes everything modern. There were many rooms in the general community area; she just said that didn’t feel comfortable there. The room was very nice, and the people there were very nice, but she just didn’t care for the ambiance. The staff was very nice, pleasant, polite, and respectful to my sister.

My grandma was placed here on the 2nd floor which is dedicated to those with Dementia and Alzheimer's. The facility is clean, neat and located near the beaches of San Diego with restaurants in walking distance. The food is good which is nice because the facility is always encouraging family to come for the holidays or just to spend more time with the residents. The facility also has a lot of actives on a weekly/daily basis for the residents to part-take in. The staff and facility is very accommodating, polite, sympathetic, empathetic, and greets you with a smile. As soon as we would come to the facility, one of the nurses would update us on my grandma's health, actives, her good days and bad days. The place was extremely helpful and caring when her health started to slip and walked us through the process with hospice and accommodations. Biggest issue was that some of my grandmas items got lost in the laundry and we had to buy new stuff to replace the lost items.
