The Remington Club had skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. It was very warm and inviting. It had staircases, lounge areas, libraries, and a dining area. It's a very nice facility. The apartments were a little on the small side, but they had a large variety, and they're well maintained and adequate. They had transportation, a pool, a little indoor movie theater, and some off-site social events including golf. The dining hall was fairly wide open. You just let the person know what you want and they bring the food to you. The menu looked pretty good. The staff member during the visit was very friendly, but didn't appear to have as much background knowledge with regard to insurance.

My parents are at The Remington Club, and they like it there. This facility did not require so much money upfront, and they took mom in because they have dementia care. The facility is big, and they have a lot to offer.

The Remington Club rooms were nice and clean. The staff was accommodating even though they were understaffed. The food catered to my mom which is a salt-free and sugar-free diet. If there was something that they didn’t like she would send it back and they would make her something that she did like, which was nice. They were helpful and the dietitian would come in quite often and discussed with my mom what she was wanting to eat because she was on a specialized diet. They were just very friendly.

The Remington Club was an older facility, and they didn’t really have any rooms available that would accommodate my sister. She was definitely looking for 1-bedroom, and they only had studios. We toured a 1-bedroom that was vacant, but it was so small and kind of inconveniently configured. It’s just got a lot of corners; you cannot put furniture in.
The people were very nice, the gal who took us around was very pleasant, and everyone was very nice. The facility itself is very nice; I would give it a 4 for the ambiance, but I would rate it 3 as it didn’t meet our needs for the 1-bedroom.

I kept my aunt at The Remington Club and moved her into the assisted living. I like the location. It’s right across the street from the gal that has helped her for many years who does her shopping. Everything that they have there was familiar with her. I was able to get her into a 1-bedroom, and she is just about 4 doors down from the dining room so she has help walking there. It all works out really well for her.
The staff has all been very helpful. They have gone out of their way to help me get everything organized. They seem to have everything right there for her, and they help her. They come in and really look out for her. The people are very good and very caring. She is very happy with them.
She’s in the assisted living, but for Thanksgiving, we were able to go to the independent-living side for lunch, and it was really nice. In the assisted living, they had a full meal, but over there, they had the buffet, and she could go visit people that she knew from when she lived on the independent-living side. It’s convenient to everything, and the food is excellent. I’ve been very happy.

The Remington Club is a rental; you don’t buy. I would say the residents there are much older; you see many more walkers. They have a skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. There is something about it that’s depressing to me. I think the food is good; we have lunch there several times, and I went for a meeting there as it is very close to where I live right now and the lunch was excellent. I just don’t care for the atmosphere. I don’t like the way the place was decorated; it was very outdated. I have visited a friend and I have heard some unhappy things about their skilled living specially the night staff, people who live in there, and several people who had been there.

I thought The Remington Club was beautiful. I really liked it. We met with their salesperson. We didn't interact with the staff, but people seemed happy. The dining room looked very nice and appealing. We were invited to come back and have a meal, which we didn't do. I thought people should definitely check it out. However, as everyone said and it was true, The Remington was expensive.

It seems to provide everything my Grandmother needs. Trips are organized for shopping and medical visits. The food is good. I have visited and had lunch or brunch there several times. There are a lot of activities to keep the residents engaged in a variety of social things like card playing and games. My Grandmother is very happy in her new home.

Knowing that we would be in the area, we decided to see The Remington Club assisted living facility. We've always liked that area - and our aunt had expressed that she liked it as well.
Our family has members spread through the region, so this location would be ideal for visiting her. We really liked how well the staff interacted with us during our visit. They took the time to find out about our aunt and the things she likes.
We were shown all of the common areas, all of which were really nice. There were plenty of scheduled and non-scheduled activities to choose from. For example, our aunt really likes to read - and they had a book club discussion going on with a member of the local library. This is an activity that our aunt really loves.
The grounds were all well manicured - with plenty of areas for residents to enjoy. Even though it was raining, we could see that it would be a great place to spend time.
The dining room was really lovely - as were all the adjacent communal areas. The guest lunch meal that we had was really great. Some of the residents even mentioned that what we had was typical - and that they really enjoyed eating there.
The snacks offered include everything from specially designed and prepared baked goods (geared toward health) to fruits, vegetables and delicious puddings. Despite the fact that they were made to be healthy, they all tasted really good.
The living spaces were well-designed and spacious. There is plenty of professional, yet friendly staff to take care of basic needs. All of the areas were pleasant to be in and we could see that the residents thought so, too.
Every resident appeared to be very well cared for in a peaceful, yet fun environment by kind, caring and attentive staff.
