We really liked Atria Golden Creek. The tour was very thorough and I really liked the facility. It seemed like a very good atmosphere and ambience. If we were to choose, we would've chosen that for our mother. I met the director and she was very friendly, very open about the facility, and very informative. They have a media room, a salon, and an activities room. She showed us pretty much all the facilities there, the outdoors, and the deck. It looked very cheery, very well lit, and clean.

The staff and all the residents are very pleasant, especially Moe our activity director and Jose the housekeeper, also the chef is very polite. I am a vegetarian and he always makes vegetarian food for me.

Atria has multiple daily activities to keep us as busy as we’d like to be. All the staff is helpful and friendly. There are weekly shopping trips to popular stores, and a personal driver to medical appointments. There is often entertainment at dinner. The apartments are roomy. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are daily exercise classes and a small gym.

mom's support system
We were so grateful for my mom's patio space. During Covid, she was still able to go outside and get some fresh air.

Wow, was I blown away! The first impression is not only beautiful but some of the nicest people I have ever met. The seniors living there seem so happy to call it home. On the tour I was surprised by how nice the apartments were and that each has their own small kitchen and balcony. I wish I was ready to move in myself. They do all the cooking and cleaning, they just get to live their best life. I cant wait to show my Dad.

We have looked at Atria Golden Creek, and we're considering this one; it's really nice. It has a nice atmosphere, the people seemed very nice, and it's close. The staff that accommodated us during the tour was fair and the facility itself was very nice. I don't really like the color scheme, it's all like brown, and we found that less than attractive. It is nicely done, but we don't like the color ourselves which affects our opinion. We have a family friend who is there and they seemed to be happy with it, so that helped us decide. Other than that, we can only go by what we saw and it does seem nice. We would like to see a larger library, we would also like to see more activities although we know it's COVID now, but more art classes for instance, and a larger fitness facility. They have a very small fitness facility. They have a very nice restaurant or eating area that seemed very clean. People seemed pleased there. We saw them having an exercise class in the eating area, which was nice; a large group of people were there. It's nice that they're doing that; they do that twice a day. It's very nice but it's not exactly what I'd like to see.

I do not care for Atria Golden Creek. It is nice, but it isn't very homey. My sister chose it for my mother because this particular Atria has a 2-bedroom unit, which is not very nice. However, this community overlooks a small stream, which is nice. As I peeked in the rooms, I'm thinking their units are laid out so much better than Mom's 2-bedroom. It seems so cramped and small. You couldn't get in a small sofa, a small TV set, and maybe a small chair. You couldn't fit more than a full-sized bed and a dresser. It is a tight squeeze. Because my mother needs an adjustable bed, that is all they could fit in her bedroom, and then they put a dresser in there to store her clothes in. The food is OK. It is just a typical institutional food. They would order off what is always on the menu, so it is always the same. You can vary it up a little bit, but it is always the same thing.

I liked Atria Golden Creek. I found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. It was far more on the cruise ship on land model. I felt like they would be very accommodating, but it was like so over the top cost wise, and there wasn’t real sense of home like atmosphere. It’s very clean with large size units.

Atria Golden Creek is only two blocks from my sister's house, which was a huge consideration. They have a lot of indoor activities, yoga, exercise classes, and art classes. They have a physical therapist, so she can go to the gym and get her physical therapy. They have an occupational therapist that comes in twice a week who also works with her. They have doctors come and visit, and her psychiatrist and her geriatric specialist can see her there. Outdoor activities include field trips, and she can go on walks along the riverbank and around the lake. The staff has been very compassionate and warm and seemed to have a very thorough understanding of my mother and her medical and psychological issues right now. They have been very good about communicating and keeping up with things, managing her medications and managing her doctor's appointments. I've been very pleased. They have an assisted living program there, but for somebody who is relatively new to their dementia, it's a good place for them to go. The people have some level of independence that they encourage.

The staff was very helpful. They gave us a tour. It was a very nice big facility. We looked at a model room, and it was very well presented and very beautiful. We saw the dining room and saw the people being seated. It was like a nice restaurant. The only activity we observed in Atria was a church service. When we looked at the memory unit, it was quite different from the assisted living area, but all of them had adequate security as far as caring for the residents.

Atria Golden Creek had a resort look. It had a memory care area and it looked like it was well set-up for that. I really liked that it had memory care although it was more expensive. My mom could stay there and if she stayed then I wouldn't need to hire a personal caregiver, I do not have to worry about her wandering off. The facility and rooms were nice. They seemed to have good personnel. I heard they had a very well-praised chef and they had a nice little dining room.

I visited Atria Golden Creek once. The staff spent a lot of time to show us around. It was good for someone who wanted a smaller facility. There were not enough activity rooms and open spaces.
