I am a resident here at Sunrise of Seal Beach. The food is very good, and the activities are well planned and they do a good job at it. The staff is excellent. They are very thoughtful and very kind. We have lectures, travel activities, and lots of other stuff.

Sunrise of Seal Beach is a beautiful facility with lots of resources. My dad is doing pretty well there. The staff is terrific and really personable. The food is good too. Then they have game rooms, movie rooms, a 24-hour coffee bar, a weight room, and a lot of things. It is really good. They had to suspend a lot of the activities because of COVID, but they have games, wine and cheese nights, and things like that. It's a more expensive place, but it really is worth it.

My friend will be moving into Sunrise of Seal Beach, and it's gorgeous. It's beautiful, it's three miles from my home so I can go and visit her, and it is close to the beach, she wanted to be close to the beach. Her big-studio apartment is nice, and she can have her animals. The staff who assisted me on tour was great. They've got everything, they take them on trips, they've got wine night, they've got different hobbies, and she's not into hobbies, but they do have different things that at least get her involved. The reason why everything worked out is it was a little more reasonable than the others, and the others were very expensive. We were able to get in for a pretty reasonable price.

Sunrise of Seal Beach was extremely competent, had nice staff, beautifully taken care of and furnished. They provide the care that my friend needs, which is the most important thing. They were very warm and welcoming during the tour. They answered all of our questions. We've been back there three times, and they had no problem with that. We went back to look at the room, and we decided that the original selection was bigger than she needed. They had no problem changing that at the last minute. They were very accommodating. Every room is completely cleaned and painted (I think) because the room that she is moving into (as well as the one we originally selected) were newly painted and all the carpets had been cleaned. It comes with a lovely full kitchen. Every room has a kitchen, and it was very nice. Their menu certainly is very varied and had choices too. They have a bistro for snacks, drinks, coffees, and all kinds of things, in addition to the restaurant area where everybody eats. They have snacks available 24 hours a day and that was important to my friend.

We went to the Sunrise of Seal Beach. The tour was fine, and the staff was very nice, very professional. The food looked very nice, we didn't taste the food, but the dining area looked very nice. The tables, the chairs, they looked very nice, they weren't like folding chairs or folding tables. It was a very nice facility. The rooms were nice, they were just small, and it was just very pricey.

Sunrise of Seal Beach was about 12 to 13 miles from my house. It is really nice. It is a rather large complex with multiple buildings. It looks like a fairly active place. They have people walking around, so it seems to be a nice place. They have both assisted living and memory care. I have seen the facilities and the rooms. The memory care is the smaller section, and it is up on the third floor. It has got its own theater and recreation room. They have games for the people to play. In the assisted living, they got a theater too. It is pretty well laid out. The staff was nice to me.

We toured Sunrise of Seal Beach. The tour was good. That was the first one we looked at, and because of COVID they really couldn't show us much. We basically saw an open room. We saw two different rooms, a studio and a one-bedroom, and they were very nice. One had a patio, which was really cool. We couldn't see any of the dining. We were able to talk to a resident who was just leaving, and she had been there for five years, and her husband needed more care. We didn't feel we saw enough to really get a good feeling of what that one was all about. I really liked that one, but there was no sense of community -- we couldn't see that. They had exercise, they had games, and I think they had outings. They had very nice grounds where my mom could walk.

Sunrise of Seal Beach was lovely. The facilities were nice. The houses were very sleek; we liked it. It looked very comfortable; however, the architectural style didn't make us feel very at home because we like mid-century modern furnishings. The place was very homey. It had a early California ranch style furnishings. It was very nice, but we didn't feel like we would be at home there having to park outside and walk through the rain to our car. That didn't appeal to us. The staff members were very nice and friendly. The food was good. They even served us wine, which was nice. Their amenities were good. It was more expensive than the other community, but it was lovely.

I visited Sunrise of Seal Beach. It is a beautiful community. I was most impressed with their independent living, but the assisted living facilities seemed to be a little cramped, a little small. The individual rooms were small. They took me on a full tour. It was very clean and very high end, but it was also very expensive. But I really did like Sunrise of Seal Beach. There was a card game, and there were some crafts thing happening, and then there were some people playing cards out in another room. Location is very convenient.

Sunrise of Seal Beach was very nice but quite expensive. The administrator was very nice, and they seemed to have a good variety of activities. The menu looked good.

My aunt was at Sunrise of Seal Beach. It is an excellent place where there are caring, loving people who take care of the residents. I would recommend it to anybody. The food was very good. I really don't know much about activities because my aunt was in assisted living and went to a Bible study and that's about all she was doing. It's a very wonderful place to be.

My mom is on a wait list at Sunrise. We went there twice. It was very nice, and my mother liked it and felt really comfortable. The location is really good. My mother wanted a kitchen and in the independent living quarters, they had full kitchens. We liked the one-bedroom best.

Sunrise was a wonderful, clean, and good-smelling community. The room we looked at was two rooms next to each other with one bath. It was very nice, of decent size, very light, and well appointed. The staff was very caring. They had a lot of activities, but none were applicable to my mother. I would recommend it for people who only need assisted living because they keep them busy, interested, and alive. It was a good environment.

I liked everything about Sunrise of Seal Beach. The rooms were beautiful, and the staff was very nice and kind. However, there weren't as many activities as I'd seen in another place; they were just watching a big TV downstairs. I would recommend them. The food was very good, and the bathroom was nice and clean.

Sunrise of Seal Beach is immaculate, the people are friendly, and it's very comfortable. It's a clean place, which was one of the reasons why we moved my mother there. She has a small room, but there are plenty of places she could go within the building. If you were an active older person, it's a great place. She is 85, and if she started to get worse, she can stay there and just move into the convalescent side, instead of moving her to a new place. It's not an inexpensive place, but our siblings are all very happy that she's there, and she's in a safe place. They had better food when they first started. They got someone new doing the food, and it is not as good, but the people there seemed very happy with it. The staff is very kind. They show up on time, they're prompt, courteous, and very friendly. I really don't have any complaints. It was convenient, which is right off the highway. My sister is 10 minutes away, and my brother is 15 minutes away. It's like walking into a four-star hotel. It's a really nice place.

I looked at Sunrise of Seal Beach. I liked the interaction, the activities that were scheduled, and the care for the seniors. Their dining room was set up very well. They had menus for all dietary restrictions. It was like going into a 4-star hotel room. They had activities like dancing, bingo, and trips for people who would like to go to casinos or shopping malls.

Mom is in Sunrise of Seal Beach; everything is fine, and we’re very happy with it. The food is fine; they have a menu. We were looking at cost, location, and support staff, and we felt that Sunrise met our needs. The facility is very close to us.

Sunrise of Seal Beach was extremely neat and clean. It was so pleasant. It did not have any odor. The food that they served was excellent, and the caregivers were fabulous. They really cared. My father-in-law was well taken care of during his last days.

Our Grandmother is in the memory unit and there were lots of promises made about our ability to communicate with the staff before she moved in. Once the papers were signed it was very difficult to find out if she was eating, taking her meds etc. The rooms are very small and some are dark, depressing. Her personal things, hair brushes, toiletries etc. are locked up so that she can't get them when she wants. The staff says they have wandering patients who go through others rooms taking things. We wanted to know where the supervision was by the staff. Not very happy at this point.

Sunrise of Seal Beach is a beautiful facility. They seemed extremely well-organized and the place is fresh and new. The place is very convenient. The rooms are very small and that's a drawback for me. There is no access to the outdoors from the rooms itself. You need to go down the long hallway. They do provide residents who would enjoy a glass of wine with one sometimes and I think that's nice.

I have been to visit my grandmother twice since she has been in this facility. The outside of the building is well kept and the structure itself is not damaged. The inside is clean and you can smell the clean air when you enter. I was not very happy with the staff in general. The nurses that were around the front door and the front desk were not attentive to me at all. I walked in and looked lost while they just continued their conversation until I had to interrupt them. That happened both times and with the same two nurses. The nurses that were caring for my grandmother were more personable and seemed to be much nicer. I already had a bad vibe from the beginning though so I just wanted to get my grandmother and go to lunch. My grandmother was well dressed and clean. During lunch when I was asking her questions about being in her new home she had nothing bad to say about the facility. That was comforting for me to know she enjoyed it there. Overall the facility seemed to be able to care for her adequately and she was happy there.

My father lived at Sunrise for several years after our mother passed away. It was one of the best decisions we ever made as a family. Dad had his own private apt giving him the independence he valued so highly while we children could rest assured knowing he was safe and lovingly watched over by the staff. As a family, we all loved having dinner together once a week in the beautiful dining room. Weekends always meant some type of fun social event that we all could attend with our dad. Sunrise is a wonderful place.
