About This Community

The moment you set foot on our 32-acre campus you’ll see why Westminster Gardens earned its name. Showcasing the area’s scenic natural beauty, our community boasts more than 2,000 rosebushes along landscaped walking paths that meander through the hundreds of fruit trees growing on our property. But don’t let our semi-rural feel fool you; we are centrally located on historic Route 66 with easy access to all of Los Angeles County.

Westminster Gardens is owned and managed by HumanGood, a nonprofit public benefit corporation serving older adults since 1949.

Featured Amenities

Offering a variety of living options to help you balance both your budget and your desired lifestyle, our accommodations come in a selection of studio, suite, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. All homes are pet friendly and feature ample storage space, carpet and private bathrooms. Select units also include full kitchens and in-unit laundry facilities.

When not relaxing in the privacy of your home, mingle with your neighbors at one of our many scheduled community activities and events. Historically, many of our residents have been retired Presbyterian ministers and missionaries, but now we are home to a diverse mix of seniors from all professions, cultures and faiths.

Available Services

Westminster Gardens offers a range of senior living options from independent living to assisted living to Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our professional staff is available to assist residents as needed with life’s daily activities, such as dressing, bathing and grooming, as well as provide specialized memory care, such as mood-enhancing therapy or skill-building activities.

For added comfort and convenience, we also take care of the landscaping, facility maintenance, scheduled local transportation and meal service. Our in-house chefs excel at turning healthy ingredients into tasty cuisine, and you are welcome to join us for all three meals a day or choose a more flexible meal plan.

At Westminster Gardens, we blend the best of both worlds: a lush, natural woodland within easy driving distance of some of the world’s finest cultural attractions.

Westminster Gardens was a very good place. The interaction between the staff there and me was just marvelous. The physical appearance of the place was outstanding. The activities lined up for the day were very good. They have exercise programs. They have trails, ponds, and gardens. They have tennis and a swimming pool. The value of what they have to offer and the services they give is just superior.

I must honestly admitted Westminster Gardens used to be a good facility before with adequate experienced friendly employees to assist the residents. However, lately over past one year, you will see more and more new faces in the facility? What does it tells you? They no longer have reliable stable experienced employees to care for the residents. Some of the old friends have been forced to let go or terminated by HR director in order to save money for paying experienced employees. Honestly, apart from how physical look nice of the place, adequate experienced employees are also very important. If you put that much money for your lovely parents, you may expect more, which means quality of service. Do you think a place with constant new employees can maintain a good quality of service to your parents? Think about it. If Westminister Gardens is just liked some other facility but only have nicer outlook of the building. Is it worth to pay that much to be there in a institutionalized hotel that full of strangers?

I visited Westminster Gardens. I liked that they have little cottages and that the place was clean and pretty nice. The staff was friendly and provided me with good information.

My half-brother lived in Westminster Gardens. They have all different levels. You buy like a little condo all the way up to nursing care. It’s a bigger layout. Many of the same type of programs were available. The food is very similar to what you might have at home. It’s a lot more expensive.

Westminster Gardens was a very nice community. They had very nice rooms. They had sliding glass doors that would look out into the green area. This community seemed to be a more open concept than a closed-in concept. They had fairly extensive patio areas that looked out. The dining room was bright and cheerful. It seemed to serve the purpose of gathering a community together. They had an outside dining area for barbecuing that was nice for the warmer months. They also had an inside area that was cheerful with art works from some of the people who were around there. They had an extensive library. They also offered all sorts of activities. It was around Christmas time when I was there, so they were decorating the halls for Christmas. They had all sorts of pageants by the community. They had field trips. Overall, it was a nice place.
