Sunrise of Studio City was beautiful. It's aesthetically pleasing and very, very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that it was extremely expensive for my particular needs. Still, they were great. Gabrielle gave us the tour and she was very helpful and very nice. They had a salon, a theater room, a recreation room, and handicrafts. They're one of those places where they did not supply furniture for a respite. So, I would have to pay additional rental for furniture or bring my own furniture in. That was another minus point for the place itself even though it was a wonderful place.

I've been to Sunrise in Studio City's assisted living. They have a very caring and patient staff. It's a very nice community and I liked the animals that are present at the facility during my visit. They have a dog and cat that live there in addition to being pet-friendly. They have a very nice dining room, nice music that they're playing on the speaker system, activities, transportation, and a beauty salon.

Sunrise of Studio City was very clean, modern, happy, and well organized. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, informative, and kind. The people there seemed happy and engaged. We saw a theater room and an activity room, and there was a library too. They offered very spacious rooms for the residents, and the care that they offered seemed top notch. They really seemed like they would be on top of everything.

I went to Sunrise of Studio City. It felt very uplifting there and energetic. It was a positive energy that I felt. I liked it a lot. I looked at some rooms, and I believe all the floor plans were the same for assisted living and memory care, and they were very nice rooms. There was little traffic noise, but my mom would probably mind that. I like it because they had tables out the front where you could visit, and with the Coronavirus, we won't even have to go inside. They had some benches and tables and you could be outside with a mask and wave hello. You can just pull right over and visit outside with a mask on.

I visited sunrise of Studio City, and my first impression was it’s lovely. It’s comfortable, attractive, and the people are friendly. It seemed sufficient. My friend stayed there for several months. They had activities and a menu with a choice of food, but there was a lot of staff turnover, which made it hard for the residents to establish relationships, and since they’re young, they're constantly training them. The fees they tell you about seemed reasonable when she started, but doubled in a matter of months.

Wonderful , helpful, respectful staff . A beautiful atmosphere . Beautiful decor. My grandmothers room is lovely .they have many activities, movies and outings. We stayed for dinner on many occasions and the food was great . All the staff are happy and all the clients I spoke to are happy too. So it’s a great place to live. It’s a comfort knowing your family member is taken well care of here.

Sunrise of Studio City is a four-story, large building complex. It houses assisted living and they also have a separate memory care unit. There's no sort of separation in levels of capacity. There were people with quite advanced Alzheimer's and dementia, and my mother was in the early stage. She was alert, oriented, and conversant, so it was a scary place for her and she was starting to decline rapidly being in that environment. The staff members were very nice and confident people for the most part, they're just scattered too thinly across too many people. The food in the assisted living part was very decent, but it's not as good in memory care. They have very detailed activities for the residents, but there's just not enough personnel.

Sunrise of Studio City is very nice, and the staff is nice. My mother's room is a dual room with 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, and 2 different bedrooms. She likes the food, and she's very happy with the activities. They have music and singing, and she really enjoys and likes it. They've been really good with her. I liked the ambiance.

I was impressed with Sunrise of Studio City, as it was very nice and convenient. They rooms were nice although not terribly large. They have a lot of opportunity for activities. The people who worked there was very friendly and hardworking. It’s very convenient. One of the nicest communities I have visited.

Everything in Sunrise is good. It’s very nice, and I like it. It’s perfect. The people there are good, and fun to be with. It looked nice, and smells nice. They have a lot of activities. Everything I was looking for my mom. I haven’t tried the food, but the menu looks very good.

During my visit in Sunrise of Studio City, I instantly liked the place. The staff there was very nice and accommodating. Sadly, Sunrise had a great, long waiting list and had no immediate availability. One of the advantages of the place, though, was being a newer facility. Everything was more modern, open, and airy. The rooms were wonderful and spacious. Each room had its own bathroom and kitchenette. They also had exercise areas and a room for television viewing. I think they didn't have much to improve on. The place was just more expensive than the others though.

We had a really good experience at Sunrise of Studio City. The two people that helped us were Anne and the other girl showing us around. The place has been really nice. My mother is in the memory care section; she didn’t have as many choices, but it’s a 2-bedroom, and then they share a bath, so it is kind of a suite. It’s spacious and clean. We ate there, and my mother is happy with the food. It’s a very high end place and very expensive. In the memory care, they constantly play trivial games and mental exercises -- my mother’s in a position where she is not bad -- and they go out on outings. They don’t just leave them sitting around -- no people sitting there yelling and asking questions. The place is secure.

We visited Sunrise. The one apartment we looked at was on the first floor. It was very convenient, and it had a patio and a very spacious living area. We liked the fact that on a very regular basis, they take the residents off site to the mall, to go shopping, to Trader Joe’s or on other excursions. They take them down to the beach to look at the ocean, or they take them to a park. We think getting the residents outside is great. The food was good; they had sandwiches for lunch. They had a very pleasant server who was more like a waitress than someone who was working in a senior facility. The staff was certainly very friendly, very professional, and very attentive. They seemed to have the philosophy of taking care of the elder with respect and making sure that no one is left isolated, that the residents are kept occupied, and that their minds are kept busy. That’s very important.

I thought everything at Sunrise was very nice. Everybody seemed every nice. The staff was great and seemed to be very caring. It looked like a beautiful location. Unfortunately, it was not in our budget. It was twice as much as I stipulated that we wanted to spend, but it was absolutely a lovely community. I understand that they had activities, but because it was not within our budget, we didn't have a chance to spend more time. I wished we could afford it.

My mom will move to Sunrise of Studio City in a couple of weeks. We chose them because they have a unit that's becoming available. The room was nice, clean and bright. We're happy with it. The dining room was very clean and it looked nice too. The staff I met seemed very friendly.

I toured this beautiful facility about six months ago with my parents because my grandparents are getting older and are close to the point in their lives where they will need help with daily activities. We had interviewed a few visiting nurses, but decided that moving my grandparents into an assisted living facility would be best. The outside of the facility is absolutely beautiful. At first glace, it looks like a luxury apartment community or condos. A lot of other facilities seem too cold and hospital like, but not Sunrise. The facility has a wide range of activities for seniors (bingo, card games, etc) and the staff I met during the tor were very friendly and nice. I've heard horror stories about elder abuse at assisted, but I got a really great "vibe" from this facility. My parents and I had a chance to eat in the dining hall and I was actually pretty impressed by not only the taste of the food served, but also the variety. The only reason why I rated Sunrise 4 out of 5 stars was because of the location. The facility is located right on Coldwater Canyon, which is a popular route for those living in the Valley and can get very congested and noisy at times.
