Chardonnay Hills Care Home was a beautiful home, very nicely decorated, with new furniture and a lovely backyard. It's in a very nice area. All the homes are very nice there. The caregiver I met was a very shy type of person. I thought I had to pull information out of her. She's a very reserved kind of woman. The place was pristine and super clean. The people in there seemed happy, but my stepfather needs people that are a little more engaging and the caregiver just wasn't engaging. It was all new. They had a big sofa in front of the TV and it was over the fireplace. It's a brand-new home with granite countertops. The bathrooms were brand new. They had a nice dining room table. Their doors were locked. They were cautious opening for people. They make you sign a guestbook. The caregiver was stricter about the facemask. She wanted me to wear a facemask inside the facility and those are good things. They're trying to take care of the people that are in this facility and protect them. The place seemed very quiet. The backyard was lovely. It was kind of an ideal place, but I thought the caregiver was too timid for my father. He would have her probably in tears because he's kind of abrupt sometimes. This lady needs to be stronger. She's new, but it doesn't mean she's not capable of caring for people. There were two women in there and they seemed to be fine with her. She was doing things. She wasn't sitting there doing anything. She just wasn't very forthcoming with any information.
