We have chosen Copper Canyon Senior Care Inc for my mom. She has been there for two weeks now. The owner is just an amazing person. She's compassionate and she's an occupational therapist, which I think is very helpful to seniors in that shape. The home was lovely and clean. They were cooking at the time that we went there, and it smelled amazing. I thought my mom would be most comfortable in a home that was like what she was used to. What, of course, was most important was the care, and it was exemplary. Felicia, the owner, was just an amazing, caring person and well qualified. She gave us a resumé. She seemed very organized in the business end of it. She showed me she keeps the records and the medications and all that kind of stuff. She was very organized and just seemed like a good businesswoman on top of being a Christian, which I appreciated, and she just had it all. As soon as we went there, we knew this is the place for her. Felicia sends me pictures of breakfast and lunch and stuff and tells me if Mom enjoys it. Most of the time she does, except that she has contracted COVID and she seemed to not like things as much, but I think that's probably her taste. The food is amazing. Yesterday they were having slow-cooked ribeye beef with gravy, rice, and peas. It looked like a restaurant. They play bingo and they have big cards that are easy for everyone to read. My mom has macular degeneration, so small ones can be difficult for her. I have been there when they're playing bingo. They go outside and do like chair exercises and things like that. It's common to walk in and find them engaging in things like bingo and exercising and stuff like that, which is nice. They also have devotions. Felicia has devotions and she allows them to share things that might be on their mind, and I think that's nice because like my mom would tend to hold things in and I think Felicia feels that mental care is as important as physical care, so she allows them to share things. It's expensive there, but we felt like this is what we want for her if this is what it costs.

The people at Copper Canyon Senior Care are absolutely wonderful. The owner lives inside the facility. They live upstairs and the residents live downstairs. They have caregivers day and night. The woman who owns it is an occupational therapist and she at the same time gives occupational therapy services too. Their rooms are very nice. My husband sn’t there yet, but he will be sharing a room with another person.
