We went back to Yorkshire House to move Mom there because they did such a good job with my father in their Alzheimer's unit. Mom has a wonderful, little room. She is a demanding lady, but they bent over backwards to give her a refrigerator, a TV, and a wonderful price. I played ball with them and did some activities with them. They have people come in to sing for the residents.

I visited Yorkshire House. It was an old facility, but it seemed well taken care of. It seemed clean, but it just seemed like it had a lot of residents that needed more care than I thought my mother needs at this point. Nevertheless, the administrator was very nice there.

Yorkshire House is clean and safe. The staff seems very nice. The one who assisted me on my tour, Debra, was helpful and informative. The rooms are small, but clean. The dining area is basic, but it is nice. I like that it is financially affordable for my mom, and she has been there for a month now. They do bingo, movies, card games, and other games. They have an activities coordinator, and the doctors come to the facility. It is a gated area.

Yorkshire House is horrible. The patients in there looked bad, and it was a very depressing place. I wouldn't recommend it. The room looked OK, but it was dark. They seemed to be kind of dinged and dark. The dining room was just horrible. I walked in, got a quick tour, and walked out. They need to renovate the whole thing. It was dark, dingy, and sad. It needs a lot of work. I wasn't impressed with the staff.

My mother-in-law is in Yorkshire. It has been pretty good, she is happy there, but it’s kind of expensive. The staff was good and nice. It’s a lockdown unit I would recommend the place. They are feeding her well, and they look after her. It is clean, they go on places, and they do have current events. It’s good and safe, and it is perfect for anybody that needs assistance.

Yorkshire House was equipped with what we were looking for. The staff seemed to treat the residents well, and they do have some activities. The best thing to say at this point is that they accept Medi-Cal, and nobody else in this area does other than them.

All the staff were compassionate. My mother who fought a battle with Alzheimer's, had a stroke and was paralyzed on one side and couldn't swallow or speak. I live in PA and couldn't get there so my step Dad took a picture of me so my Mother could see it. I called twice or more everyday. They would hold the picture of me up so she could see it and then put the phone up to her ear so I could tell her I loved her. I could hear her trying to speak but she could only make a grunting sound, The caregivers who were with her during those times would tell me when she reacted. One nurse even said that my mom was smiling on one side of her mouth, and that she could see that her eyes brightened up during the call. I hold that dear. My Mother quietly passed away on Friday August 31st. I am grateful and very appreciative of the kindness shown by the staff at Yorkshire House.
