My family member is unfortunately a current resident of this place and it is not going well for her. She has tried to leave and been restrained and returned to the facility against her will, she is sedentary now within the walls of "Elite Elder Care" and losing her mental and physical health.
There have been many problems getting calls through to our loved one and more problems with frantic calls throughout the night from here. I have tried to visit and been turned away, I have taken home cooked food and it too was rejected. Phone calls and messages to the owner are not returned. My relative has not been allowed to leave with me for any outings since becoming a resident. Please do not subject your loved ones to this environment.

So far, I am very pleased with Royal Gardens and my mother also seemed very pleased. It's a very nice place, very clean, and the people are very nice. We are really happy at this point. Her room space is just right for her. My mother has been taken for walks and physically that's the best that she can do because she's 93.

We visited Elite Elder Care in El Dorado Hills, California and were impressed immediately with its lush greenery and home-style house-like appearance. The main room was mostly filled with people on their walkers, which was fine, except that the room was rather cold looking inside. It could have used a warmer décor. The outside didn't match the inside. We did, however, like that one of the main rooms had a number of easy chairs available, which our uncle really liked a lot.
The rooms were nice, but again, seemed a bit cold. The ones we saw could have all used a personal touch.
There is an onsite barber and beauty salon and each room has cable and Internet, which is convenient for our uncle since he likes to keep in touch through email.
The library has many interesting books and they also arrange outings to the local library for events there and to check out other books. They also organize many shopping trips and excursions in the area.
Their special dietary menus looked adequate, however, we did not taste the food. The snack options are available all of the time and they seem to have a good variety. The exercise room and programs include fitness instruction with trainers. Overall, the recreational facilities were quite nice. While there was nothing bad about the facility, it did not seem like it would be a good match for our uncle.
