On the outside, the landscape is well maintained and the courtyard, with exotic birds, is enjoyed by all residents. We have plenty of activities all day long.
We are the only doctor owned and operated facility in the area and have compassionate and well trained caregivers. All of our meals are freshly prepared three times a day by our chef on the premises along with snacks twice a day.

Pico De Loro seemed like a safe place. The place was small, but it looked pretty clean to me. It didn't smell or anything like that. They had an outdoor area that I could see through the window and that's where they take the residents, too. The room I saw had two beds in it and a dresser. It's two people in a room, and each has a closet then a shared bathroom. It was also very clean. I just felt like I didn't have all my questions answered by the lady who did the tour.

DON’T send your loved ones here! The person in charge is a joke!!! We tried to remove my uncle and he called us yelling at us. Trying sabotage us from taking him to his new facility!! Dr Rillo is very unprofessional!!!! Refusing to let us talk to my uncle on the phone. Refusing to let hospice come in and care for my uncle. I will never ever recommend this facility to anyone. DON’T go here.

My mom is at Pico De Loro and I think it's pretty good. They treat her really good and cook her whatever she wants. She seems happy. It's a pretty nice and clean place for the price. The staff is really nice to her and they do her hair every morning. The food smelled great and looked really good.

Mom has only been here 6 days and has settled in so well. She has made friends and responded to the consistency of scheduling well. Her skin is already back to normal in less than a week. They are so kind and patient. I feel lucky to have found them.

The staff at Pico De Loro was friendly and great, but I would never take my mom there. As the woman was taking me around, there were residents lying face-down on sofas in the hall. It was very dreary. It felt like you were walking through the homeless section of some city. It was a big place and not at all what I was looking for. It was terrible.

My least favorite was Pico De Loro. It was rundown, and it smelled. My first impression was that it was dirty, and there were no residents to be seen. There were stains, and it smelled like urine. When we walked around, all the residents were smooshed into one small room on these beds like they never got out of beds. Maybe there was 2 staff members that we saw the whole entire time. The whole place was dark. They need to clean the place up. The rooms were tiny, and they were like hospital rooms. They do not look like residential rooms.

My husband moved in last Wednesday at Pico De Loro. I kind of like the place, considerably the space is bigger than other place, and the price seems reasonable; that’s why I chose it. It’s clean, and the location is OK -- about 10 miles up from my house.

They were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable at Pico De Loro. I enjoyed the visit. They gave me a complete tour of everything.

I think living in Pico De Loro works for my mom. Everything is pretty nice and clean. She came from a place that charged a lot of money, and this one is more affordable. She is happier and gets more services than before. They are taking better care of her. She is OK with the food, and they take them out to lunch every couple of weeks.

My loved one is at Pico de Loro. I liked the fact that it’s a closed community and that they're able to take care of his needs. What we need is memory care, which they are able to provide. He has Alzheimer’s, and he’s a wanderer. They have exercises and special outings where they’re watched like hawks. They do arts and crafts and things to help them at least with their motor development and, in his case, he likes to build model airplanes, so that works out really well. The rooms are large and completely furnished. I don’t have to buy comforters for him anymore because they provide them. Right now, I’m going to give them a 4 because I haven’t been able to get out there to physically look at it, but I feel pretty comfortable with it. I talk to them probably every week or every 10 days to get updates.
