Villas at San Bernardino was beautiful, but we couldn't afford it. We visited the assisted living and they have all the different levels. It just depends on the room that you pick. The small room that we liked was $2500 a month. In addition to that, they have certain levels of care and that's another $2200 a month for what my brother needs, so we're looking at like $5000 a month, which we can't do.
I would love my brother to go there. My husband and I thought it was fantastic. It was perfect for what he needed. They showed us the menus and if you don't want what they were serving that day, you can get four different other items. He's not stuck on the same menu. They have all these options. I have nothing to say, but amazing.
They had movies and all sorts of activities during the day. They have dancers and musicians coming in. They will work with him, and we need them to kind of check on him every two hours. It was just fabulous. It's neat, it's clean, and it's beautiful. Everybody's very friendly. It's brand new.

Our appointment with Villas at San Bernardino was kept on time. The marketing person was knowledgeable, very helpful, and had a good idea of everything that was going on around the building. It was a smaller building and it had 2 stories, but there was an elevator. It seemed like a very compact facility. It was clean, and well-kept, and everybody seemed to be doing something. Nothing stood out to me in the negative context. Overall, it seems like a very nice place. They also have memory care available, so that would be helpful to us in the long term. The studio room seemed to have ample space, and the restroom is close to the bed. It has a small sink outside of the bathroom.

Villas at San Bernardino was a nice facility. The staff who toured me around was very nice. The dining area was good and it was handicap-accessible. The people working in the dining area were also very nice. I would like my mom to be there. They had movies and other activities.

I had an in-person tour of the Villas at San Bernardino. Overall, the tour was very, very nice. It's a very nice location. It was excellent. The staff was very nice, friendly, and explained everything very well. The dining area was kind of like a small restaurant with a full menu. The staff showed me the menu and foods they would be serving that day, and it was very nice. The facility was very clean and smelled good. There were residents in the common areas. They looked good and well-cared for. They have a patio area where there's a fountain and outdoor seating. The staff gave me a calendar of events, and they have like a game night and a movie night. Everyone was friendly.

I went to look at Villas at San Bernardino. I like that it was family-owned, and it felt very comfortable. It was a smaller community and felt very homey. I liked that the shower was walk-in and had lots of rails. They had several different little community-type spaces where my grandma would enjoy getting to know people and talking to people. They have their weekly outings for lunches and a salon, which my grandma will enjoy. Their garden outside had a nice fountain, so that was pleasant. The grounds are well kept.

I was impressed with Villas at San Bernardino assisted living. It's really clean, people are nice, and they're very friendly. I liked the lobby because it's very quiet. The lady who toured me was nice and she explained everything well.
Even though it's small, it feels like home. I know big facilities tend to look like just hospitals, but this one looks more like home. We went to their dining area and she showed me the menu for the day. It wasn't really bad, it looked even delicious. That time they were having a type of cabbage and corned beef. They have a launch area where the residents can go to spend their time, or if they want to have drinks like coffee or juice. They also have a patio, it's not big but it's a good size if you want to be alone and go outside.
We went to the second floor where they showed me the room that they have available. It's a pretty good-sized room, I don't think a resident would need a big one. It has a bathroom that I liked. I feel that it's safe if my mom has to take a shower on her own there. It has a refrigerator and a microwave too.
I saw the caregivers cleaning the rooms, and it looked clean to me. They also do the laundry once a month, which is free. I saw some residents, they all looked happy and they all knew each other. After I came back from that facility, I told my siblings that I liked it and I think that would be good for my mom. That it doesn't look like those facilities are owned by bigger ones. This one looked more like home.
I went to visit in the morning and they were cleaning. The caregivers in that facility were making up the beds for the residents. There was also a guy outside cleaning the furniture so I think they're keeping the facility well-maintained and clean.
There's a library where they can read. There's also a music place with a piano. Outside, on the patio, I know they do bible studies too. They do them outside because of the Coronavirus. Before the Coronavirus, they invited the families to join them.

I went to Villas at San Bernardino. It was a beautiful facility, very nice, people seemed very friendly and nice. I saw a studio apartment, it was small, but it was very nicely decorated to show what you could do with it, and we saw a one-bedroom apartment also, and the bathrooms were extremely handicapped-accessible, very nice. They had a very filled calendar of activities, they played bingo, they had crafts, music, and movies. We didn't eat, but they showed us the food. It looked great. Everything was very nice there. The staff I met was very nice.

I went to Villas at San Bernardino. The staff was great and knowledgeable. It's a really beautiful facility. The dining area was clean and well-stocked. It's a gorgeous facility. It didn't look like a nursing home. They have a movie room, a game room, an outside patio, and a TV room downstairs. They did not take me to the memory care area because it's a locked area. They have a central courtyard with locked gates, so residents could get out that way, but they couldn't go anywhere.

I toured Villas at San Bernardino, and that is the one I am going to try and go with. They have both assisted and you can be on your own in independent. I toured the assisted, but just to an extent. I am not totally assisted and just need reminders to take the medicine and stuff like that.
They were willing to work with me in trying to get help for the monthly payment. It is not cheap. It is like $2,300 a month.
The facility was very nice and well taken care of. They showed me the dining room and two different rooms. I decided on one of the rooms. They wash your clothes for you, and they can clean for you. They have a dining area where you can eat. It was pretty nice.

My mom is at Villas at San Bernardino. They're great. If it wasn't for COVID, it would feel like a resort. It's really nice. The people there are very caring. My mom is picky and she has absolutely nothing, but good things to say about all the helpers. They pride themselves on their food. This is something that they brag about, that their staff eats there too, because the food is so good and it's mostly fresh. My mom can't believe how good the food is. She's been there since September, and you don't usually find that in a group living situation like this. My mom is 95 years old, and she says, "I'm gonna have to go on a diet, I'm gaining too much weight, 'cause it's so good."
Also, they have an activity director who really tries to make sure there's something going on and they frequently have a woman or some other entertainers who come and sing or whatever on the patio, distanced away from the residents. It's very hard right now because of COVID, but the place has really the potential to be so good and the people are just so nice. In spite of the pandemic, they load up whoever wants to go into this nice touring van that they have, and they drive around and they look at things. One time, they went all the way to Oakland, and they take them sightseeing and driving around neighborhoods. They have a library and a woman who plays the piano every night. My mom and some other women sit and they'd sing hymns together, but they have to be 6 feet apart.
Recently, they had some people that tested positive for COVID. They had to have everybody stay in their rooms and they tested everybody. Now, it's going away and they're starting to come out and be able to eat again in the dining room. There's a hair salon there, and my mom was able to utilize that one time before COVID emerged again in California; they have to follow the rules of the State. They have a nice patio with a fountain where the residents can go sit outside, and they call it 'the backyard.' They have sidewalks around the facility, so that the residents can walk around. It is right next to a freeway, but you can't hear it. The neighborhood is not that great, but the home itself is very nice. They're doing their best, and they really care. Again, my mom is picky, but she's been real pleased how clean everything is.

This is a wonderful facility. They truly care about their residents
During these difficult times they have definitely stepped up to protect the residents. And can proudly say they have had no Covid cases My reclusive father in-law loves living here.

Villas at San Bernardino is a very nice and very clean place. They have lots of activities and they have parties going on all the time but maybe not now with the coronavirus. I would have chosen that place for my husband. The dining room was clean. But I didn't see any activities when I was there. They had a library where you can go in and read anytime you wanted to. You can get cookies there, which was nice. They have a special room for movies, too. It's a lot smaller place but it has lots of things going on. It is also very clean. The staff who assisted me was very helpful.

I was impressed with Villas at San Bernardino. They gave us all their information. I didn't see a lot of interaction between their staff members and what-not, but we did go into a couple of rooms that they had available. They were very nice. Villas at San Bernardino was one location where I thought about placing my mother, but it was so far away from where we live. They had a small library and a small movie theater. The staff member who showed us around was very nice and very informative. I liked that they monitor who goes in and who goes out. They have surveillance, which I really appreciate.

I was very impressed with Villas at San Bernardino. It was very attractive and the care seemed to be good. I would think it's adequate for the level I was looking at, which is assisted living. The caregivers seem to be right there. For the price, its a really good deal. The room I saw was attractive and they had a couple sizes of rooms. The smallest of the rooms seemed perfectly adequate and the facilities in the bathroom were excellent. They offer three meals a day with more than one choice at each mealtime. They also have snacks pretty much 24-hours a day. You can sit outside on the patio and the indoors looked very comfortable.

Villas at San Bernardino's rooms were nice, clean, and spacious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered all the questions I had. They had a schedule of activities and they had a TV room, library, lunch room, and dining room. The dining area was orderly and clean.

The Villas at San Bernardino have assisted living and memory care at a more reasonable cost. They have an outside area that’s secure, and they have activities. I saw they have their meals. The rooms were fine, clean, and of different sizes and prices. They have a big sitting room where they can watch TV and socialize. They have someone that comes in, and they tried to keep them occupied with different activities. Everybody seemed to be doing OK.

The staff and the food were incredible at the Villas. The staff member who took us around was wonderful. She came in on her day off to meet with us. We met the director of activities, who even ate lunch with us. The apartment was very spacious, one of largest apartments we've seen, and it was very well maintained. They had a library, a meeting room, and a computer room.

My father has lived in this facility for a few weeks. I am pleased with the level of communication between the staff and myself. I am glad that the reception area is always monitored and I feel that people cannot wander in (or out) without an individual from the staff interacting with them. The atmosphere is much like being at someone's home not like being at a care facility.

My grandmother lived at Villas for only six weeks before she passed but in that short time the experience for her and our family was incredible. After a few months of rapidly declining health the staff at Villas welcomed her with a kindness and patience she had not experienced at two previous locations. They took the time to give her the assisted care she needed while she tried to recover her health. One of her last days there was her 87th birthday and knowing of the hardships she had gone through the previous few months the staff reserved a private dining room for a family birthday party: not only did they do us this kindness but more than one employee dropped off flowers for her. I cannot speak of the cost or long-term care due to her short time there but for what the Villas gave my grandmother in her final weeks meant, and still does, a great deal to my family and I.
