My mom is currently in Mercy McMahon Terrace. They provide excellent care. My mom's room is very adequate. It's just during this pandemic that things have really gone bad for my mom. With all the isolation she has really digressed, so we're moving her to a higher level of care. Right now, she is in assisted living, and she is going to the Alzheimer's unit. We're moving her to the memory care unit. Before all this COVID stuff came along I ate in the dining room with her, and it was very good food. Up until this point, their activities right now are kinda limited. Prior to this, they had live entertainment at least weekly, and movies two or three times a week. It's a real active community, but nobody is active right now. The living atmosphere is pleasant and upbeat. Most of the people are very friendly and cheerful. The staff is very cheerful and very accommodating. Their food is fine. The facility is old, but they continually update it. Value for money is all relative. I don't really have anything to compare it to because this is the only place my mom has been in, but I feel the price is fair.

I think the price in Mercy McMahon Terrace was a little more reasonable than the other facilities I have visited. They had private rooms and a common dining room, but I do not know about the quality of the food. It was right across from a church. There was a retired bishop living there, and I think another semi-retired priest lives there as well.

Located in downtown Sacramento just off I-80 and J Street south is Mercy McMahon Terrace.(MMT) Mercy McMahon is an assisted living facility. As a discharge planner I have had the pleasure of visiting this community several times. Located a block from Mercy General Hospital, MMT is in the heart of an exclusive north Sacramento neighborhood. You are a mere ten minutes from the Downtown Plaza. Shops, restaurants, theaters, cinema, and historic Old Sacramento are minutes away. There tree strewn campus is fabulous, the ground gorgeous, and the interior classy. It smells and looks good. Their room are amply spaced and set up so residents can bring their comforts from home. Mercy McMahon Terrace has three levels of care independent living, assisted living, and comprehensive assisted living. At each level the needs for the residents for care giver intervention is greater. This allows families who wish, to stay close to one another as ones condition may degrade more than another. The care giving staff is highly trained to provide for the various needs of residents, from caregivers to licensed nurses. Their level C program can deal with catheters, colostomy, diabetic care, oxygen, and more. The staff is affable and earthy. The even have a wellness program. Their meals are of high quality and taste good too. They are able to accommodate various dietary restrictions. Dining areas are lovely and friendly. Their activity program is great. They have a plethora of things to do: billiards, movies, board games, puzzles, and music. They have frequent outside entertainers come in. They promote family involvement, holiday events, and community school, and college interactions. Though catholic oriented, all denominations are welcome, and ones spiritual preferences are respected. The residents are afforded many types of outings to attend. Chaperoned transportation is offered 5 days a week. Administration is friendly as well. It's a highly reputable community. For what you get their rates are great. I cannot find much fault here. Perhaps, because of size and stimulation, this might not be the best place for a confused resident. Still when I get there, it's a place I'd choose. Overall, I give Mercy McMahon Terrace a 5 out of 5.

the facility is well run, my parents moved in two years ago when their health started to decline. They helped my mother through her final months and help us deal with her death. My father is still living there
