My dad is currently at Ivy Park at Simi Valley. The aesthetics and decorating are all beautiful. It's clean, modern, very well-updated, and extremely affordable. The staff is kind, friendly, and overall excellent. They have a nice coach bus and offer trips out to Target, the movie theater, shopping, and dining. They offer board games and puzzles. They have a movie theater, grooming, haircuts, manicures, an exercise room, a space for clergy on the weekends, some outdoor areas to sit in, and a nice fountain to hear water. The food in the dining area is good and adequate.

It was beautifully laid out. The tour guide, Jodi, was really good. The dining area looked nice, but the only thing we didn't like about it was the assigned feeding schedule. They had a concert going on when we were there.

My mother moved in, and it was amazing. It's beautiful outside. When you walk in, everybody greets you, is friendly, and wants to help. The apartment we chose for mom is beautiful and has a view of a beautiful courtyard. The food is good, and you can order anything you want at any time. The staff is personable, and they know you after being there once. They were having a music activity when we went there, and my mom didn't want to leave. She has been there nine days and has been involved in every activity. It was the best place I could ever pick for my mom.

The rooms were very nice, sunny, and bright. The staff was courteous and nice, and the place was clean. The residents were gathered in the lounge where the piano was, waiting for a program to start. There was plenty of parking space and seating areas outside.

My parents are now here. Everybody is friendly and nice. The food is good, and the facility is really beautiful. They have a lot of activities, a computer room, a library, a little store, a popcorn machine, a community room, and a separate little dining area if you want to have friends or family over. They have all different sizes of nice rooms. My parents picked out a medium studio and love it because it’s on the first floor close to the dining room and two doors down from the garden. It’s in a really good place on Los Angeles Avenue, which is a little busy, but behind it is a neighborhood. If they want to go for a walk, they can go for a walk through a really nice neighborhood. In case anything happens, there’s skilled nursing right next door.

I visited my friends in this place. It's a very nice place. They don't have apartments -- they just had one room, which is a lot more limiting. But otherwise, it seems nice. I've been there for meals, and it was good. They have entertainment. It has a little friendlier atmosphere about it.

It is very luxurious. It's like a cruise ship that doesn't leave port. My mom has been there since the end of January, and it has been a very good experience. It is very clean, and they stay on top of everything. My mom is in a one-bedroom and has a private bath. There is a small gym, and this is first one that we visited. She likes it, and that's the one wants to be in.

The visit was great, not just because we live in Simi Valley, but because of the services and their activities. We went there on unannounced visit and we also went on another tour, so we went there a couple of times, and it seems like there’s activities going on when you walk around; people are doing different games and puzzles, they have a movie room, and library. It just seemed like they had a lot more things happening, and the rooms actually seemed a little bit better as far as floor plan, and also the outside seemed more homey to that of an apartment. You can decorate them, and they have shadow boxes outside to make it more personable. Outside, they have like a little pond and different things, more like a big community.
To me the staff was just super, super friendly and everyone was willing to answer your question. You could go anytime and join them and just pay an extra little fee, when you go to visit. We saw families come and just visiting and we saw more inter mingling and it just seemed more like a lot more activities going on.
