“ACP (Anaheim Crown Plaza) Is My Home” My Mom had severe Covid at the end of last year. She was hospitalized twice. When she went in for the second time, she was given a 30% chance of survival. She beat the odds, and came out of critical care. Despite 24/7 nursing care, at the end of two months hospitalization and rehab facilities, she returned to ACP totally paralyzed. We didn’t know what was going to happen at the time, because she had been pretty high functioning before her Covid. The loving care staff and managers demonstrated at ACP have exceeded our expectations many times over. Slowly but surely, she recovered. Now she can walk over half a mile with a few 1-minute breaks. She has been a resident of ACP since February 2019. Before ACP mom had stayed at 2 other assisted living facilities. In the past she had also been at 3 different rehab facilities - we know something about elder care facilities. Here are a few benchmarks below to show how ACP earned our top choice. Front desk telephone response time: less than 5 rings 95% the time during business hours; Call button response: less than 5 minutes; Laundry and shower services 95% the time as scheduled; medicine giving out on time rate 98% within 10 minutes range; special requests from family number have always been carried out, such as setting up iPad, Bluetooth speaker, going through mails, put away groceries, taking mom to doctor appointments… Besides these numbers, a few other things are important to mention. Manager Cammy and Assistant Manager Resielle are rare pair of treasures and are mainly responsible for how this facility stands out and shines among its peers. Their laughter is heard throughout the facility all day long. Their loving and caring attitude guides all the staff at the facility. In mom’s critical days, she was unwilling to go to sleep most nights. She thought most death happened at night. One night that happened again. I told the young caregiver lady about it. She said “tell your mom not to worry. It’s not going to happen on my watch.” There were many moving stories, but this one touched me especially. It is also a comfort to know that there is a full-time onsite nurse (LPN) – not a Home Care nurse, for all the residents in case of medical emergency. When my mom was first discharged from rehab and totally paralyzed in February, nurse Gerry was in her room to check her vitals at 7:30 every morning. Of course, there are things mom wished for that ACP couldn’t provide: a big courtyard for walking; more space between structures so her room would have sunlight during the winter. But she knows to prioritize things. Mom is 91 years old and has hypertension and other heart conditions. The fact she is still alive and well today, it’s simply a miracle. Besides her own strong will to live, she’s also very lucky to have so many wonderful people in her life, the doctors, nurses and people at ACP. This caring and loving goes a long way to touching people's hearts and gives people strength and hope to get through challenging times. After all the hardship and all the places, she has been, “This is my home now”, mom said.

My mother moved into Anaheim Crown Plaza. There's no problem. They've been very responsive, and the administrator has been very helpful. If you ask anything, she's right on top of it. The staff is very friendly and nice. This place is centrally located from my brother and I, and it had a good review.

I can't begin to share the gratitude and heartfelt thanks I have for the staff at Anaheim Crown Plaza. I call them earth angels, people who are dedicated to providing our loved ones with the things that we can't always take one. Care, comfort, humor, encouragement, discipline, (especially for my mom), she needed it! They were my support, friends, counselors, and most of all an advocate and champion for my mom. She passed last Sunday, 08/16, within 10 minutes Camy, director of the facility was calling me to send me her condolences. The food was good, the rooms large, it was a place where residents and family were part of a community. I've seen other reviews here, it may not have been 5 star on the outside, but it's what our families experience on the inside that truly matters. There isn't a price to put on that! God Bless all the staff and the owner of Anaheim Crown Plaza, my guardian angels for the last year and 9 months.

I would highly recommend Anaheim Crown Plaza to anyone. My grown daughter and I were at our wits end trying to find a place for my mother (who is only 62). When I walked into ACP, I felt home. The administrator (Cammy) was/is absolutely amazing. The place was beautiful, the rooms were beautiful, the way the staff were interacting with each other and the residents... was beautiful! By the time I signed paperwork and put down a deposit, I could not stop crying tears of relief. Knowing that your loved ones are respected and cared for is a huge weight lifted off of family members/caregivers. Thank you to Cammy and staff for your warmth and compassion in an otherwise cold and sterile industry. Your facility is the benchmark by which all other assisted living facilities should be judged. God Bless the staff of Anaheim Crown Plaza.

My mother in law was resident of this facility. The rooms were huge and not small like the person with one star says. The food was plenty. My mother in law was a smoker and they had a patio for smoking. The place was clean the price very affordable no one takes your money. For a share room with all the help the price was excellent. When my mother in law of in a nursing skilled facility they asked for 9K a month for the share bed only - in this place was $900. I am talking between 2010 and 2012. My mother in law passes in 2012, but he always thought at the end of her life that she is in a hotel. I spoke personally with the owners and the girls from front office were always helpful. YES I recommend this place. It was very helpful for me and and my husband. They take care with doctor visits, and cleaning, laundry, have sneaks all day and all night. My mother in law said that she was never hungry and the food was delicious. We had experience with nursing homes and boarding cares, this place was the best.

I had been at Anaheim Crown Plaza for about a year. My children found it for me. They thought that assisted living would be best for me. The first room I had was very small. I had a roommate from hell. It took them forever to get me another room after begging many, many times. Overall, it was a bad experience for me. I wasn't the only one having bad experience there, but people were afraid to say things. It was a nightmare living there. The administrator was horrible; the owners were horrible. The state came in and as soon as they paid their fines and the state disappeared, they went right back to the same old stuff. This is why I would not recommend Anaheim Crown Plaza for assisted living. With regard to activities, they had bingo for residents who were still "using our minds." There were people who just sat around and watched TV all day. Once a week, they took people who were able to shop to Walmart. They also showed movies. However, you have to have money to do all that because they took every penny we earned. There was an extra charge for everything.

The staff were incredibly attentive and nice. The amenities were not five star, but the meals were nutritional and diverse, clean rooms and hallways. There are plenty of activities to do, like bingo three times a week and karaoke. Twenty four hour staff was always on hand, very little to no bad relations between residents which varied from completely independent seniors to those who were suffering from dementia and other mental health problems of the aging population.
