My dad is in the Diamond Manor. It's good. The most important thing for me is to be able to get feedback from my dad's condition, like I get a call right away, whether it's blood in his urinary catheter, or he's not eating as much, and whether he looks like he's looking a little sick. So I really appreciate that part. Second is that I can call any time, and I can visit any time. I can come in any time during the pandemic. He wasn't feeling well and the caregiver and homeowner gave me permission to actually stay in his room and take care of him that day. And if they didn't allow me to do that, my dad wouldn't be alive. So I appreciate the most that I can go there any time, and I can actually ask for little favors for my dad to have a nice, comfortable, and safe life. There is no staff. The main caregiver is alone right now, so it's a one to four ratio, but usually she gets help from her husband, who also received training. The house is beautiful. She has a gate that blocks the fun house to the pool, obviously. It has a private room that I cannot even match anywhere else. It's like there's no window, and those windows are doors that you can slide out, and actually step out. Every single room leads straight to the outside. What a great set up for like COVID times. There's a lawn of course. She cleans the house, sweeps and wipes every day. I've seen her work so hard even at 10:00 p.m. Then, during the morning, she sweeps and opens the windows. It's well aerated, and every room has a way to open to the outside. For example, if we called 911, they could carry my dad straight out the door. And when I visited during COVID in the winter, I didn't have to go to the house. I could just go through his window. It's cozy and clean. I wish she could have extra help so that he would maybe walk a little bit more with his walker rather than being pushed around in his wheelchair. They have TV, but not everybody catches it. I like a little bit more activity, like motion. In this age and time with cost of living, inflation, and all that stuff, I'm really grateful that she didn't raise the price, especially that with every hospitalization, my dad goes decompensated. I think it's fair.
