HORRIBLE place! If you love your family member, don't put them here. The food is awful, the staff are very rude, not caring and unpleasant. They don't even take them to their doctors appointments. The bathroom is ghastly.... There was no soap, shampoo and very few towels. Of course no fridge or microwave. No access to the balcony or the courtyard. Bad neighborhood. Lot of staff are mexican, so you can't communicate with them if you don't speak the language. Nothing to do there as activities concerns.

My mom has been at Courtyard Plaza for about three years now. First of all, we like its affordability, and it is very, very clean. It is not luxurious but is very, very clean. It has always been clean, even before the pandemic. They had nice activities before the pandemic. They've been very careful with all COVID protocols. They would take those who want to go on a weekly trip to one of the stores nearby, like Walmart or one of those stores. There was bingo, card games, a movie room, a library, exercises, and religious services. They will have a lot when things get back to normal. Their rooms are very nice and clean. My mother is in a shared room, and it is very spacious and just very clean. The staff are very friendly, and they speak English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Armenian, which is very nice.

I chose Courtyard Plaza because I had no place else to go, and I was on the verge of homelessness. I'm having a lot of problems here. They're not very attentive. I have a very large room, but the bathroom is dirty. The sink looks like it has molds in it. The meals that they bring me are not what I would call healthy. There are no activities. They're grossly inattentive. I have a problem with eating, I cannot chew, and from the very beginning, I've told them that I need soft food, and I still have not gotten my food right. The administrator and the co-administrator have been very harsh, and said some very unkind things. I never felt welcome here. The only thing that I really, really like here is my room is very big.

My visit at Courtyard Plaza was good. They showed me the dining room, and that they have pretty flexible hours in the dining room. You can get food any time you want. From where the rooms are to where the dining room is, it's a fairly long walk. It's kind of too far, and that was the only drawback. The rooms were OK. They mostly allow just light kitchen facilities and they don't really have a kitchenette. That's another drawback. If anything you can only use a microwave or a hotplate, and that's it. There's no sink in there like you would have in a normal apartment. I thought the place was a little run-down. One of the pluses is they have elevators, so even if you live up the third floor, that won't be a problem. They have an exceptionally good viewing center if you want to watch movies. It's a theater sort of, with lots of DVD movies and such. The tour guide was definitely very helpful.

Courtyard Plaza is a nice place. Everything is better than where Mom was at. They have Wii bowling, Bingo, and arts and crafts. The staff is pretty good and the food is good.

The staff at Court Plaza is friendly and addresses all of our concerns. The food is good. My parent loves it. I really like the director, as he seems to be really caring and really trying to advocate with the family. I would recommend them.

I like the fact that there are activities at Courtyard Plaza for my grandfather to do if he chooses to do that. The food that is available to him to eat is great for him. When we first moved him into his room, I was really disappointed in the cleanliness of it. It was not clean. The floor needed to be vacuumed, the drawers were filthy. That was my complaint. They had brought three women in to clean the drawers in the dressers. He was not happy with his roommate. The staff was great, and they accommodated him right away, and they got him into another room.

I did community service here, so I briefly toured it. I think that the nurses there does a great job making sure they are well fed and medicated, but there is not enough time for individual attention. Usually, the elderly would desperately try to converse with me on several occasions, jokes around, talk about their personal issues... overall I felt as if they didn't get enough attention. I think that it is an important issue, although I don't blame the nurses because they worked hard the best they could and could not accommodate everyone. The facilities are standard, nothing too upscale, but nothing shabby. Maintenance was great, and the staff kept by their guidelines well enough. At times it is hard to fulfill the requests of some of the patients. One lady continually asked for more coffee, although it would have been aversive to her health. The ruckus she started made everyone else nervous, and no one did anything about it. She eventually stopped, but there wasn't a protocol for it.

The building and grounds are well-maintained if a bit outdated. There is a large lobby area with comfortable sofas and chairs. The garden area is quite beautiful. The facility is located in a relatively nice neighborhood, although security is always a concern. The staff was incredibly helpful and so friendly! Everyone was so helpful and informative. The rooms are a nice size, with basic furniture (bed, dresser, table/chairs) included. Rooms have attached baths that are a good size and have accessible showers. The room had a huge closet and shared patio. Television and phone service, however, are not included. The monthly price for this facility is surprising affordable ($2500 per month for a private room). That includes everything--meals, housekeeping, baths, transportation, etc. Very competitive with other similar facilities in the area. The facility seems to plan a lot of activities/trips. Every person I encountered seemed genuinely happy to be there! Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice assisted living facility.
