My tour at The Village at NorthRidge was wonderful. They took us everywhere and showed us everything. We saw members sitting in different places and talking. There was a meeting going on where they were being talked to, and I'm not sure whether it was entertainment or informational, but there was a whole room full of members and they were wonderful. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves being in that room with the man that was speaking to them, so that was really nice. Given how well managed and very attentive the workers were there, the food seemed like it's going to be very good and the facility itself is really good. They're so clean, neat, and organized. The people are able to sit there and talk to each other. It was amazing. It was really, really wonderful. They have places where they take care of people's hair. It's absolutely beautifully clean in every single room. I'd like to go there myself. My brother and my nephew, too, were very, very, very impressed.

BED BUG ALERT! This place has an infestation of bed bugs! If you have someone living here - please call them and check on them! They are trying to keep it under wraps, and are asking the tenants not to discuss it! They also had a noro virus outbreak and have a Cockroach problem. Please DO NOT send your parents here! Rent is up to $7000.00 a month and they do not care about the clients. They do not have a chef anymore, they just have cooks who do not feed the residents healthy food. AND with all the money that you are paying, they are nickel and dining them for everything! They are charging extra for avocado, when it was free to begin with! I beg you, if you love your family - go somewhere else!

The apartments at the Village at North Ridge were all beautiful two-bedrooms. I can’t afford $7,500 a month, and I didn’t care for the location because one part of it looks out to the back of Northridge Mall and the other side looks out to some kind of a used car lot, so the neighborhood was not the greatest. They had very nice facilities and a swimming pool. Everybody was very nice. They invited me to a brunch, and the food was good.

The Village is reasonably price, and the people there are very helpful. My mom got a 1-bedroom apartment, where there’s a living room, a little dining area, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a closet. My mom said that she has been eating the food there. They offer arts and crafts, movies, and excursions.

The Village was very upscale and fabulous but expensive. They have very nice activities that the people could participate in, entertainments, and they go the malls occasionally. The staff seemed very caring. The rooms were very nice and the community seemed cohesive. They invited us for lunch, and the food was excellent.

My mom is going to be living at the Village at Northridge. They took really good care of her and answer all of her questions, and it is a place that you would certainly be proud to recommend. They have tons of activities. They have arts, swimming classes, and religious services. They have bar mitzvah for their Jewish residents, and if you want to be in a bar mitzvah, they have classes for that. They offer services right there on the premises for all the various religious divisions. They take people to the opera, and they have music groups coming in. The dining area was lovely. We had lunch there, and lunch was delicious. The dining area was beautifully appointed. They have Happy Hour three days a week, and there’s a pool and a Jacuzzi. It’s in a great area too because they’re right near the Northridge shopping center.

There is nothing I like about The Village at NorthRidge. It is all about money with these people. They treat the staff terribly and don't give them enough money, so there is tremendous change in the staff every week. People are always leaving. The food stinks. The place is clean, though. They take your money, but they don't deliver on their promises.

We also had a tour at The Village at Northridge, but we felt pressured during that time. The facility is very beautiful; it is like resort living. It is a very nice place to retire. They have a lot of professional entertainers that come in. They have large social rooms so the seniors always have live entertainment. Their movie theater is very nice and big. They were very kind to offer us meals, and the food was excellent. The variety of the menu was the best we've seen at any of the places we've visited.

A couple of my friends are staying in The Village at Northridge, and they find the staff adequate, friendly, and helpful. It's very clean and kept up very well. The only problem they say is the food. It could be better prepared and have a better variety. They're very happy with the accommodations. I've always attended when they have socials, and they provide amenities for us to be able to play cards. The dining room is very nice -- kind of like restaurant style -- and people can sit where they want to sit. They have piano playing at a certain hour, and they have a library.

The Village at Northridge is very nice. If the rent was not so high, I would stay here. The reason I’m leaving here is because of the rent. I don’t participate in cards, and I barely went to the movies because I saw the movie like in the 1920’s or 1970’s, but it’s a really nice looking place, and I just like everything here. I like the staff; the food is OK. I am very pleased. They have everything.

The rooms at The Village were a regular apartment-size whereas most places have little, tiny ones. It’s a beautiful place; it’s like a 5-star hotel. It has 3 different restaurants, and it has everything you could imagine. It has a theater in there, and it has the gyms, the pool and the barbecue areas. The Village is huge. Mom is getting her exercise; that’s for sure. Unfortunately, they changed management when we moved in so it’s been a struggle. They gave her a bath the next morning she was there. That would have been Wednesday and they gave her a bath on Saturday and then the next Wednesday came, and she still hadn’t had a shower. I had to go down for that, and they didn’t have the house cleaning service set up. Even though we had to fight for everything, as soon as they heard there was a problem, they immediately took care of it. I would like them to give the new resident a piece of paper telling the times and the dates of when they’re going to be doing their showers and their house cleaning and stuff. They didn’t do that.

My friend is already in The Village at NorthRidge. It is a beautiful facility. They seem to offer quite a bit of activities for her. She is having a good time there. The staff seems very polite and helpful. The apartments seem to be larger than most of the apartments we saw from other facilities. The space is better. It is a little more money but there is a lot more than space your getting for the money that you're spending.

It was a large facility, but their assisted living area was small. They had very nice people, but not a lot of personal treatment. It was more of like an apartment complex for seniors. They probably needed to improve on the connection between the people who work there. There seemed to be a disconnection between the nurses. The independent living and the assisted living units were not connected. It was difficult when somebody needed transition.

The Village is a beautiful facility and my mom in law is very happy there. They got lots of activities for the elderlies, they take care of them, and they're kind and sweet. They've got great food.

The Village was the best one that I could find. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious, and not cramped at all. The staff was amazing and really friendly. The food is very good. They have options, if you are diabetic or if you're gluten-free. You get to meet with the chef before you move in. They cater to everything you need. Everybody's very personable and they really care about the client.
