My mom has moved into The Groves at Tustin. They have assisted living and memory care, which was important to us. I liked the size of the rooms, not too big, not too small. Everything was clean, and they have a nice dining hall. They had a lot of activities for them planned. One of the things we liked was, they have it set up, so they work with an insurance company. She no longer has to go to a doctor, the doctor comes to her at the facility, and that was important. Her mobility is not too great, so I didn't feel it was too big of a place; just about the right size for her. It's a studio room, a studio apartment. She's got a little balcony, microwave, refrigerator. I looked at seven or eight different places, and this one wasn't too big, but it was big enough so that she could have a queen-sized bed, a bookcase, TV, dresser, and things like that, so she can make it her own. They have a bus that takes people out. They have classes and a library. They do special things down there. They have art classes, musicians come in, crafts, and activities. They have a nice courtyard where they can go out if the day is nice, and they go shopping a couple of times a week, on their bus.

I had a physical tour there at The Groves at Tustin, but they would not let me go into the memory care. The fact that they wouldn't let me see the memory care, and that's what I'm gonna need, I scratched them off my list. It was average. The residents were doing something, but I really don't know what it was. I didn't go into the room that they were in. There was a small computer room, but other than that, I didn't see too much. The staff was nice. I had no problem with the people. I didn't see any food. What I saw was clean.

The people at The Groves at Tustin were very welcoming and warm. They showed me the rooms that will be available and toured me around the community. We ended up sitting in their library and chatting for a bit. They're very nice. For me personally, I thought the place was a bit bigger than what I wanted for my dad. They keep the place up, it's very clean and everyone is really friendly. The residents were well-cared for and those that needed aides had aides with them. They went to and from their room to their social rooms, and they had a big holiday program that was going on at the time. Since they're having a big party, I saw some of the residents coming down with their aides and I could tell by the way they speak that they have memory issues. Some of them are mobile while some are in wheelchairs, but everybody was treated with the same respect and kindness. The building itself is very well-maintained and clean.

The Groves of Tustin was very pleasant, neat and clean. There were three people during the visit and they were all very handy and very helpful. The dining area was very pleasant. They had all kinds of activities like Bingo and arts and crafts, and they had an exercise area.

We visited The Groves of Tustin, and they were very friendly, and very nice. They showed us around, they called back a couple of times, and we went for another visit. The staff was very friendly, very nice, made a great connection with us, and were very sincere.

We looked around The Groves of Tustin. It looked like a very nice place. It had smaller rooms and had lots of activities. I saw some ladies making goody bags for the policemen because of some civic activities that they were doing. Some people were playing cards at a table and they had a nice little area that had refreshments and desserts. I saw games and exercises. The girl that took us around was super nice. The people seemed very friendly and every time you walk past someone, they would say hi. It had a very nice patio and a really huge dining area, which was more like a cafeteria. It was very nice.

The Groves of Tustin was very nice and clean. It didn’t smell like antiseptic or urine. It was scent-free, and I really liked that. It was in a good neighborhood, and it looked like it had plenty of activities. The rooms looked very nicely sized. The party room, library, and game room were very nicely appointed. The woman who assisted me was very nice, and I felt especially good about the fact that she was my agent, and I felt like she had a similar life experience with her own parents. So, that was a good match for me, and I knew she had an idea about senior living.

My mother decided on Grove of Tustin, but was out of her budget, so she called the whole thing off. It was a very nice, clean facility, and the people were very nice and very accommodating.

The Groves at Tustin is a very good place. The staff is very helpful and caring, and there are many activities to participate in during the day. The place is very clean, and I'm glad that I've found a place for my mother. Mom's room is spacious.

The Groves at Tustin's rooms and the entire facility were extremely small. It was also too far from my mother's doctors, and their shuttles only went within a 5-mile radius. The director was good enough to stay a little bit late so I could see the place; that was very nice of her. The activities were very low level, and they wouldn't keep my mom interested at all. People seemed like there were just zombies.

I went to The Grove. It was expensive and it was a duo, memory care and assisted living. I did not think they had many activities. I was not able to see the dining area because they were redoing it. The assisted living was nice. It was just typical that they lock the memory care people upstairs. So, they did not have any outdoor space or anything.

The Groves at Tustin is wonderful. We could not have been happier. We are so blessed that we found it. The price was phenomenal compared to the other ones we looked at. It is a beautiful place. They call me for anything about my mom. The facility has three floors. My mom has Alzheimer’s, so she is on the second floor which is for memory care. They can’t go down the elevator by themselves. The way it is set up is perfect. It’s sort of locked down. People can't go in-and-out, but the residents feel like they’re free to move around. They have music that they’re playing because they found out that music helps Alzheimer’s patients calm down. The food, the service, and everything else is wonderful. My mom loves this facility. She feels like she’s in a hotel because of the way it is set up. They decorate the place every holiday. It is a well-run place. They have a lot of activities, and events. They take them on tours. In fact, I am recommending The Groves to everybody.

We have found a place for my friend's mother. We placed her at The Groves at Tustin. The location was one of the reasons we chose this, and I really like the people. It turned out to be good. My friend will need to go into memory care, which we're going to have to make one more move inside this community because they do have memory care. That's one other reason we picked it, that it would have levels of care. The size of the apartment she is in now is exactly what they have for memory care, so it won't be a huge transition for her. I'm happy about that. Her apartment is huge and really nice. She has a really large living room. Their kitchenette is the only thing I don't like about this facility. They don't have a sink, which is weird. However, they can order their meals and snacks downstairs in the dining room. The closet is in the living room and not in the bedroom, which is also a weird thing. The size of the rooms is huge though. I did have lunch with my friend and it was quite lovely. They're very accommodating. I like it, and my friend's mother is doing well.

We visited The Groves at Tustin and ended up placing my mom there. She is adjusting very well. We are happy that she is being taken care of well and that she is safe. The room is very nice and extremely clean. They have terraces, but of course, the memory care residents are not allowed on the terraces. It is a very clean and very modern facility.

The Groves at Tustin was our second choice. It was very nice. Everything was close. It was a smaller facility, so the residents wouldn't have to walk very far. Also, it was right in the heart of Tustin, so they are close to the shops and medical facilities in the area.

The care and the staff at The Groves are superior. They couldn’t have been more caring with my mom and seeing that her needs were met. When my mom first came in there, staff would come in and make her feel comfortable and integrated into the place. She was introduced to other seniors there, they had a lot of activities, and the medical staff really saw to her needs. They had all kinds of classes; my mother does oil painting, and she was able to complete two paintings in the six weeks she was there. They really encourage and support the people that were there. They had get-togethers in the afternoon in the courtyard, art classes to keep their minds active, and once a month they had outside people come in to entertain them. They had a movie room and a library. The thing that I felt was most interesting was they had a lounge area with a TV and the whole time my mom was there, I never saw anybody in that room sitting there watching TV which I think was significant. The maintenance and up-keep was superior. They had someone come in once a day who would make the bed, tidy up the room, and take out the trash. Once a week they had someone who would do the extra cleaning, clean the bathroom, and do her laundry. The food was unbelievably good; the chef is award winning, he took the proportions and the type of food that seniors can eat completely into consideration and came out and talk to them. I can’t speak highly enough of them.

This was my first experience going into any form of an assisted living home and I was actually impressed with the condition of the facility. Everything in the common area was clean and that same cleanliness extended to the entire facility from the guest's rooms to the lounge. The staff who greeted us and showed us around was incredibly friendly and outgoing. They truly seemed like they cared about the guests and were interested in helping out the people rather than getting through another day of work. The most important thing I noticed though was how the current residents acted. There was a sense of happiness and freedom within the guests, who smiled and laughed while performing whatever activities they wanted to for the day. My family is currently making the decision about which facility is the best, but I would say that Cranbrook is by far the most accepting and enjoyable.

They are very friendly, and they answered all of my questions about how my grandparent was doing. They gave me a tour of the area; there are some private spaces where guests can be alone and be away from the crowd. There are also some common spaces such as restaurants, where they can interact with peers. Everything seemed nice and clean. They also have recreational activities so that grandpa could exercise. Overall, I was very pleased with the visit!

The Cranbrook Senior Living community looked really well-kept from the outside as we drove up. Our aunt has lived in the region for quite a while and would like to stay in touch with friends and family. We especially liked the park-like atmosphere of the grounds. The patio areas have room for barbeques where they have hosted and private parties. The main foyer had a lovely receiving area, reminiscent of a quaint country home. It was hard to imagine that this was an assisted living facility. The communal areas all had interesting activities occurring, from reading to games and resident interactions. It was clear that the residents enjoy living here. Events and outings scheduled include anything you can imagine from restaurants, to art museums, the library, which our aunt particularly enjoys, to local films and crafts, fine dining and theater. The also host monthly birthday parties for residents at the facility which they encourage friends and family to attend. The living suites were all a nice size and did not seem cramped. They were also beautifully decorated. We could see that our aunt would be comfortable in any one of them. Each unit had individually controlled temperatures. The dining areas have many options. From more intimate to communal dining, resident can choose whatever they like in addition to hosing guests in their own spaces. The food choices looked nutritious and delicious, as well as the regular snacks offered continually. In all, this is a lovely facility with caring and attentive staff. All of the residents needs appear to be met easily and efficiently, in a friendly and caring manner.
