My grandmother is at the Imperial Club Independent and Assisted Living Community. So far, it's been really good. They're all very nice to her over there, they attend to all her needs like when she requires taking care of her medications. Just all around they're friendly and they're giving her the care that she needs for what she's saying. Her apartment is very nice, clean, and up-to-date. The dining area is very nice and she likes the food. They have different activities like bingo, live music, movies, a game room and stuff like that. They also have a pool and a lounge area or common areas.

My friend will be moving into Imperial Club Independent and Assisted Living Community. I liked that it was very clean, it was very organized, and I liked the atmosphere. I toured both independent and assisted living. The staff was fine. It's just that we went to the open house, and I would have preferred if they made an appointment so they didn't make us wait. I do understand that there were a few people there, but it would have been better, especially older people to not make them wait and have maybe like wheelchairs or something as you walk and see the facilities. I think that's something that they probably can take into consideration. Even though people can walk, the walk is too much. The pricing was fair.

My mom will be moving into the Imperial Club. It's very welcoming and very informative. The staffers were nice. I met with the nursing director and the activities director. They explained who they were, they were very nice, and I was impressed with them. They have books, cards, board games, painting, drawing, playing cards, movies, wine and cheese parties. We had lunch there and the food was very good.

I have stayed at Imperial Club Independent and Assisted Living Community for three years. They have the virus there now so it is very difficult to get in there. Plus, they're very, very expensive. They have transportation and an excellent location. They also have an activities director. If you want to go to the city, they have a bus every 15 minutes. You can take a bus for free and go anywhere inside of Imperial, so that to me was a big plus. The staff was excellent. It was an expensive place to stay because you have to pay for everything like TV, electricity, and laundry. They helped me with dressing, showering, and with my medication. The living atmosphere was excellent. The clientele there was very upbeat because it was an expensive place. They had a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and they had lots of amenities. I just could not afford to live there because at the end of the month it goes up to $5000 a month.

I will be moving into Imperial Club next year. The appointment was on time. The staff gave me brochures, explained the fees, answered all my questions in a meeting room with coffee, and talked with some of the ladies who shared their own experiences there. It's very well done. They're very prepared, and we're very ready to move my mom. She showed me a calendar of their daily activities. The physical appearance was very good. Everything was great. The service was professional. The residents were great. The dining room was clean, well attended, and huge.

Imperial Club Independent and Assisted Living Community is gorgeous. It was the only place that I went to that I felt comfortable putting Dad in. It's a 15-story high rise with both assisted living and independent living. They have tons of activities planned constantly. The assisted living is only three floors, so they have constant care and are willing to work with me. It's quite costly, but it's the only place that I liked. The food looks very nice. It was the only place that I went to that allowed me speak to the residents, and they love the place.

Imperial Club's rooms were small and smelly. The dining area was adequate. The rooms were very hospital-like. The management staff was quite helpful.

Comment: After almost losing my mind trying to take care of a very difficult, combative and negative mother, her situation came to a head and I was able to place her at the Imperial Club. I did my due diligence about a year before, visiting several places as well as researching keeping her in her home with round the clock assistance, knowing it would be only a matter of time before ALF placement would be a necessity. Even though meds were prescribed, mother never took them, refused to have food delivery, walked around in dirty clothes, refused to have her cleaning lady wash her clothes, not maintain the house properly, unable to handle her finances, fighting me the entire time, hallucinating, etc. I am an only child so no one to spread the joy around. On the good side, no one to have to get permission from either other than the one needing assistance. Maintaining mother at home would have been a challenge. She would have accused, fought with and refused to listen to any assistant, creating more drama in a topsy turvy life. Enter the Imperial Club. The facilities, the attending staff, nursing and administration have given mother the care, food, medication and companionship she was sorely missing. And for me, a new lease on life knowing how well taken care of she is. Because they oversee every aspect of her care, and of course ensuring she takes her meds, she is pleasant, non-combative and very well fed. Hallucinations are still part of her but hey, they are her parents, my dad, her brother so all good people! I can't say enough good things about the Imperial Club.

Imperial Club doesn't smell like a nursing home. The facility is very nice, very good, and very well kept. They have a kitchenette and bathroom, but they don’t have balconies, which is a minus from my standpoint. The staff were nice, pleasant, and welcoming. The other downside is there is no storage in the apartment, no closet, practically.

My mother was in the Imperial Club for four years. It primarily is a senior facility, but it has two floors that are probably considered assisted living. It has fifteen floors and the facility is well taken care of. They have good entertainment. The food is excellent there. They have a very good menu and they allow the residents to choose what they want to eat by filling out a form a week in advance. Their meals get customized and delivered according to what they requested. I had some issues with their location, the traffic around their area, their limited parking, and they only had two elevators for those fifteen floors. But as far as the arrangement, it looks like it could be a resort hotel. It's well maintained and again the food is excellent, but as far as medical care, it doesn't go into the detail that my mom is getting right now.

I would like to begin by saying that I feel assured and comfortable knowing that my 82-year-old grandmother is living in an apartment here. Not only does the cost of rent cover all the necessary amenities, such as light, and water. But the staff on hand is caring and great. The available housekeeping three times a week is a huge plus seeing as my grandmother has reduced mobility. The staff is always very punctual about her medication and truly caring for her. Every time I have been to visit her I get the occasional complaint about not seeing her enough, but apart from that she appears to love the place. With a vast amount of social activities provided by the staff and even local area transportation for her, she never seems to have a complaint. The staff is always courteous and very informative on our visits. The food appears to be very appealing and the snacks and beverages available throughout the day ensure that my dear grandmother never passes a thirsty or hungry moment. I would most definitely recommend this assisted living facility for any and all in the southern Florida area.
