Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City only had assisted living, and I don't need that yet. I thought the place was very nice. The rooms were done nicely and conveniently for use. It was a very pleasant and friendly place. It's not too large, and I would have liked that. The staff was friendly and made me feel at home.

Lighthouse is truly the place to choose for your loved one. Mom has been living there for nine months and has received wonderful care from an extraordinary and attentive staff. She raves about the delicious meals and great afternoon snacks. Most importantly, she has made many new friends through the daily social activities planned by their creative Social Director. Rest assured you wil not regret choosing Lighthouse to provide the care your loved one deserves.

Lighthouse Sr Living has been a godsend for my Father-in-law and our family. We have peace of mind knowing that Dad is happy and being cared for 24/7 by a caring, professional, loving staff that treat him like family. The facility is clean, spotless and always decorated for the current holiday or season. The food is spectacular and Dad gained 8 lbs the 1st month! (In a different facility he lost 30 lbs in 3 months). Conveniences include mobile dentist, monthly hair cuts, podiatrist, PA on duty, lift us transport to and from doctor appointments as needed. Activities are ongoing daily per the daily schedule with puzzles, games, and live music. A monthly calendar is also available. We are so thankful we found Lighthouse!!

I went to Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City. It's beautiful. It's very nicely maintained. They're doing a lot of remodeling. They're not staffed the way I would like them staffed. They are in search of an activities person right now.

I toured Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City and saw their assisted and memory care. The staff was very accommodating in answering all of my detailed questions. It's very clean, fresh, bright, and the interaction between staff and residents was very positive. The residents seemed very happy too. I was there during meal service, and the residents were enjoying their food and it looked very good. The facility was extremely clean and updated. They do outings, shopping trips, and in-house activities as well.

Just want to let you know how insanely happy our family member is living at Lighthouse! He told us this weekend how much he loves it there. But I have to say, I think the best thing about it is… The food! He cannot stop raving about Chef Eric and the wonderful, delicious food! Today he said that the cornbread is as good as his sister used to make and that it tastes like cake! But there are other wonderful things, too… Like the warm and friendly welcome he has received from everyone on the staff, the beautiful grounds for walking or sitting outside reading on a pretty day... and I’m sure much more to be discovered in the upcoming days and weeks. It’s been a wonderful transition for him and our family deeply appreciates everything!

The Lighthouse is very pleasant and nice. They appear to be caring with the patients. My mom is in their memory care unit. They have activities for residents to do, and they try to keep their minds busy. The rooms are nice. They have very big bathrooms with showers, closets, and shelves. They're good size, too. My mom has assistance when she needs it. The dining area is standard. They usually put a board up that tell the residents what they're having for their next meal. I like this place because I see that the people that work with Mom seem to genuinely enjoy helping their patients, and it is not just a job to them.

I placed my mother is Lighthouse six months ago. She is doing well and the staff is friendly and attentive. If we have had issues, that have been addressed quickly. My mother was in previous assisted living facility, and while bright and new, the number activities and participation were nowhere near what I see at lighthouse. There is real effort to get the residents to involved and to let family members know what is going on. I would recommend Lighthouse

During the summer months, Lighthouse Senior Living would have barbecue every Wednesday afternoon. They would cook hotdogs and hamburgers outside on the grill. They have a whole afternoon picnic thing, which is really nice. We did see one of their studio apartments that has a bedroom, a little kitchenette with a microwave and a little refrigerator. It also has a nice walk-in bathroom big enough to accommodate a walker. It also has a very nice step-in shower. We love this place for my sister-in-law. Unfortunately the price would not work for us.

We toured Lighthouse, and we liked the facility and the personnel there. It's actually where my wife was born and raised so she wanted to get back to that community where a lot of her relatives live nearby, and she would have more company. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful in helping us move in and take care of my wife. The facility is only four or five years old so it's new, very well-kept and it's very bright and airy, which is another thing that's nice about it.

If you can afford it go somewhere else. In the village area they understaffed. Residents have to wait when in need oa assistance to the bathroom. At this point the resident is like a toddler sometimes they can't. Which is frustrating to them an demoralizing. No wonder they need depression medication. Also the rooms are not cleaned often enough. They also seem to allow the children of staff to come to work. This takes from the attention os staff. If you come to visit ask them to take you into the villages, then make a decision.

After looking at many assisted facilities, we decided on Lighthouse and could not be more pleased with our decision. Our mom's adjustment to the move was made even easier because of the attentiveness and caring attitude of all of the staff. Mom can't say enough about her new friends, the food , her room the activities and most of all the staff who are now our extended family.

my father-in-law has been a resident for almost 2 years. I guess with this being one of the more affordable facilities in the area the old adage of "you get what you pay for" is true. He is in the "village" area for dementia residents. There is rarely a time that we visit that he isn't looking dirty (food on his cloths left from lunch/dinner) and with an overflowing adult diaper. The lack of attention to detail can be seen in the crumbs and overall dirty appearance of the Village area (general visitors won't see this area, the main lobby is not an indication of the entire facility). If your loved one needs dementia care, and you can afford it. Go somewhere else. As soon as we can make it happen we will move to a new place. Oh, and complaints seem to go unheard.

My grandmother has stayed at Lighthouse Senior Living for over a year now. She enjoys being in this community. The staff is very helpful and assists her in any way possible. There are many welcoming residents and everyone who you meet is very nice. Everyone loves to talk and interact. My grandmother also is able to access a doctor or a nurse whenever she needs one. She had another fall a few months ago and she received immediate care. It is important to her that she receives help when she needs it, and independence when she does not need help.I have only been able to visit this facility twice, but both times the facility has been very neat and presentable, and there are many things to do. My grandmother enjoys living at Lighthouse, and she would not choose a different facility to live at. She has a lot of friends and she has her independence.

I visited the assisted living home because my grandmother was placed there. The place was very clean and had a fairly decent smell. Most assisted living homes have a foul odor but this one did not. The home is introducing a new work out room for patients that need exercise. The staff there were always kind and polite. My grandmother had told me many good things about the staff there. By far one of the best homes ever, and I would recommend it to any in need of an assisted living home.
