My mother has moved into Bowie Spring Assisted Living for two-and-a-half weeks now. So far, I'm pleased. The staff is very caring and very knowledgeable. They seem to have a passion for what they do. The place is very accommodating for the work that they do, and it's very clean. It has a very intimate home atmosphere. She has a one-bed private room. They don't offer any activities. They interact with them and my mom can go sit on the front porch. There are two sitting rooms she can go in and watch TV. They don't have any planned activities. I chose it because of the facility and I feel the director has a passion for this and also the stability because she has been there like 13 years.

I visited a friend that is housed at this facility . Small children run around the place that belonged to employees. The employees have a nasty attitude and act like they can't wait for you to leave and I been told that I couldn't see her that and to come back another time( 2PM). My friend's bedroom door is kept closed and they don't come when she needs assistance. There's no activity..... Professionalism is needed. You can't give your job or patients full attention when you are taking care of your toddlers on the job. Toddlers required a lot of attention. Leave the children at home. Employees were very unwelcoming.

Bowie Spring Assisted Living was exceptionally clean. I felt like the residents were very well taken care of, and the woman who owns it was very committed. However, the residents were pretty much sedentary, and I didn’t feel like they were really active or thriving. Also, the location was not conducive to myself nor my mother’s family. The ambience was dry to me. There was nothing spectacular that stuck out to me with regards to their rooms. However, the space itself was probably the perfect size. It wasn’t huge, and it wasn’t tiny, and very nice in the way it was laid out. Overall, I appreciated the owner’s commitment to taking care of the elders. She was really sweet, very hardworking, and very knowledgeable.
