I toured Pasadena Home Care for my father. The tour was fine. I liked it, but they probably need to do some upgrading there because their carpeting looked pretty bad. I went during the day, and they were doing activities with the people that were there. They had plenty of help. I don't think that there was an issue with them not being able to serve everybody. The staff who gave me the tour was Wendy, and she is phenomenal. She is a great person and very understanding. She asked me a lot of questions. She helped me out, too. She gave me the name of a gentleman who does the VA process that I need to do for my dad. He was very helpful, too. Wendy is very good at what she does. When I was there, they were doing karaoke. They had everybody up in the front room, and people were joining in. It was just a brief glimpse of one of the activities that they do for them. They showed me the one room that was available. They told me that if I needed to bring my own furniture, I could do that. If I needed more furniture in there, they could help out with that. The room was fine. Their upkeep and cleanliness were topnotch. It was just that I think that they need some touch-ups to the bathrooms. The one shower that my father would have been using in his room looked a little small. It had a chair in it, so he could sit down because he can't stand for a long period of time. Other than that, it was very clean. There was no smell or anything like that. It was just some of the aesthetic parts of it needed to be replaced as far as carpeting, and that was the only thing I really noticed.

I like Pasadena Home Care, because it's very personalized, very small, and they take care of my dad. It's a very, very nice place with the nicest people, too. They're wonderful. There are not many amenities there and that is the reason I picked this certain facility. It's like a regular home and you can take them outside in a wheelchair if you want. The staff is very loving, very compassionate, and very knowledgeable.

I have toured the Pasadena Home Care and the people were very nice. We were there at the time when they were eating and they had good meals with choices that they could have and that was very nice. It's a care home and everybody, the seniors that were there, seemed satisfied enough and friendly. The staff was friendly too. I didn't get to try the food but they were all sitting down because it was time for dinner when we were there. They had choices of roast beef and if they didn't want that, they had turkey and gravy. They also had dessert. You can either have fruit or a pumpkin pie. The rooms weren't updated yet, they were a little old but you can bring your own stuff into it. That's a choice you would have. Each one also had its own bathroom. Outside was well-kept although they had some shrubberies back there that needed trimming.
