I went to Woodholme Gardens. It was very nice, and the young man was nice as well. The apartments had a sink. It was a shower with a bed, and then there was the area where she could sit, and where she put her clothing. They had all kinds of games. They told me they had activities where they take them out. They had a van, where they take patients out to the grocery store, and take them to doctor visits. It's very clean. He showed me a courtyard where they do cookouts, and they do outside activities with the clients.

I was very pleased with Woodholme Gardens in Pikesville. They showed us around assisted living and memory care and we were impressed with all of it. I'm supposed to be putting down a $1500 deposit next month for them to hold a room for us. If they can deal with mom not being able to stand and if I provide the lifts and whatever she needs, then I would really still want for her to go there because everyone there has been fully vaccinated. They don't play when it comes to this virus so we were very impressed with that. Everyone wears masks when they are around the residents. I'm going to talk to the sales director because I'm still interested if they will accept her. I don't think they have lifts so if it's required for my mom, I'd have to provide it. I don't have an issue with that.
The facility is extremely clean and the staff members were extremely friendly and accommodating. I didn't get a chance to look at the menu but they have a chef there that would provide you with whatever you like. I was also impressed with the fact that they have a closed area that's all windows where families can come in and have birthday parties, holiday dinners, and things like that within that close area. It's a glass-enclosed area. The chef will provide the meals or the family could bring in the meals that they want.

I saw Woodholme Gardens. The location was very good for me. The rooms were OK; they looked nice, and looked big enough to put my mother's furniture inside. The dining area was great, and everything was set up nice. I was very pleased with them. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. The menus I saw were fine.

Woodholme Gardens was a little bit older, but it was very nice. We saw a lot of tenants walking in and out and lots of the nursing care making their rounds. The staff was great, very knowledgeable and showed us around. The studio was a little bit on the small side, but it had a nice little view out the window and it was pretty basic. They had a cafeteria, a library, and common community rooms where tenants would gather and get together for playing games and cards.

Woodholme Gardens was a better facility, and the staff knew me and my mother, but the room sizes were too small for what I wanted. The price was reasonable.

When we walked into Woodholme Gardens there were things on the floor and some of their people walked by and did not pick them up. The person at the desk was on the phone and she kept her eyes down and didn't look at us. When we went up to the floors, it smelled like urine so bad. That is a horrible place. The only person that was nice to us was the person who was trying to sell it to us. They need to improve their staff. They had all these people out in the hallway in chairs. It was a little cheaper, but it's not worth the money.

Woodholme Gardens was a beautiful place. They were very friendly. There seemed to be a lot that the residents could do, like brain games and people who came in to do different activities with them.

Woodholme Gardens is a very nice place, and they have the continuity of care although we do have some concerns about the size of their rooms.

Woodholme Gardens didn’t have enough aides and because of that, they let my husband fell and now he is confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The facilities were OK. But it is the care level. My husband was in a room by himself. They said it was an unwitnessed fall, but my husband told me that they pushed him. My husband has Alzheimer’s. He walked into the facility one day and five days later, he was taken out in an ambulance. I feel very angry about what Woodholme Gardens did to my husband.

We’ve placed my spouse at Woodholme Gardens. I believe that it was a good fit for him. Just on the initial visit, everything was good. The rooms are nice. They have a chef, so I hope that the food is far better than where he was.

When my relative first moved to Woodholme Gardens, it was very nice, but it changed hands. The chef that was very good left, so they brought in someone else and went through several administrative changes. As far as I know, they are still undergoing more changes. By the time I moved my relative out of there, it was in a state of flux. I wasn’t happy with them at all anymore.

Woodholme Gardens has nice décor. They told me that my mother would go on field trips, but she's never gone on a single field trip. They have terra yoga, play bingo, and have a book club, but if you're in a wheelchair and you couldn't take yourself there, it's pointless. I go there quite often for dinner and sometimes for lunch and ate there twice; some food is cooked but a lot is processed and from a package. They are understaffed and have the caregivers serving the food instead of the food servers, which I thought was not very hygienic because they could have taken someone to the bathroom then went down to the dining room to serve the food. It was understaffed at dinner, and so I asked them what happens if they were serving the food when someone was choking? It was odd. The other issue that I had with them was they have a courtyard in the back, but it wasn't really wheelchair accessible, so if you're like my mom, you couldn't go out there on your own. Then there was only one place, which was in front of the door, that was wheelchair accessible. What would you do if there's a fire and have to exit out the back door in a wheelchair? They need to increase their accessibility for people in wheelchairs and improve on their staffing and the management.

Woodholme Gardens is the place I have my wife in. It seems like a really nice and clean place. It seems like they are taking good care of my wife. The staff seems also pretty good to me. I've seen the food, and it was good. My wife has severe dementia, so she is not able to participate in their activities.
