THIS IS THE BEST PLACE. My mother loves it here and says the food is great. The place has a warm feeling and i love it

New Horizon has just been phenomenal to work with. It's a small facility with just six residents. But it's clean and the residents are extremely well-taken care of. The owner and her husband are both nurses, so they have skilled staff as well. They provide meals every day and it's tailored to my dad's needs. He's on dialysis so he's on special renal diet. They work with the pharmacy and they have his medications delivered to him. My dad is in very good hands.

My wife and I live here in Alexandria. My mother moved with us and she became very ill. We had to put her into a nursing home facility for about a month. It was during that time that we decided that we couldn't take care of her any longer. I looked around for a home and I just couldn't find anything at all. I don't know where to turn. Out of the blue, I happened to talk to one of my old highschool classmates. He told me that Mayleen and her husband took care of his mom a number of years. He told me that they are both angels. He advised me to call Mayleen. I called Mayleen and met up with her in this beautiful home which is all set up and ready to go. I just couldn't believe that I found a place for mom. I took mom over there and Mayleen welcomed her with open arms. My mom really liked the place. Before she started living there, she was still very ill. She lost weight. By the time she started living there, she was well taken care of. She has her own regular schedule with the physician, they help her with medication that she needs, she's eating 3 full meals a day, she exercise, and from time to time plays the piano. The greatest thing, on top of all is that she sleeps soundly all through the night. Ever since she's 13 years old she suffered from insomnia and she can only sleep 1-4 hours every night all of her life. New Horizon is one of these large homes in a carefully manicured development in upper Marlboro. Mayleen does all the cooking and bakes all the bread. The place is clean and well taken care of. The price is incredible. I feel really comfortable having my mom there.
