When you first walk into Champlin Shores, there's a big room there, that kind of feels like a living room, where people can hang out. The location was good. The views from the windows of the rooms were good. The woman that gave me the tour was very nice, knowledgeable, and has followed up with me. Their assisted living apartments were updated, looked nice, and had enough space. It's worth checking out.

I have toured Champlin Shores in person. It was well kept. I was impressed with the layout of rooms in there. The staff was quite friendly and informative. The room was open, and it gave you the feeling of largeness. There was complete separation between the living area, the bedroom area, and the kitchen. It gives you the feeling like you were in three different parts of the home, as opposed to everything being compressed into one area. The dining room and the social amenities were also pretty nice. The staff were quite knowledgeable. The place was clean. Everything seemed to be in good order.

Champlin Shores was nice. It's exceptional. I met the manager and the one employee and they were nice and they knew everything about what they were doing and talking. It was just a brief encounter, but it was a nice place. They were just too expensive and my father's room would've been way too far away. He said, too, that they wouldn't be able to qualify him based on their assessment. The only thing I saw was the dining room and then where his room would've been and that's it. The front entrance was nice. They had a little garden thing by the parking lot. The upkeep was nice.

I have visited Champlin Shores. It was very clean. Everything looked freshly painted and clean, although they said they were going to do some upgrading. Carey took us on a tour. She showed us a couple of different styles of apartments. She was very thorough in explaining everything. She was very friendly. They said they have activities. They usually have bingo games going, and some of the residents get together and play cards. They showed us the activity room where they do all their activities. We decided on a one-bedroom, and it's very spacious for an apartment. It has a large and beautiful kitchen, and there's easy access to the bathroom.

I toured Champlin Shores. If my sister can come in as a one-person assist, they could go to a two-person assist later on. Then she wouldn't have to change facilities, so that's one of the things I like about it. It was spacious, well-kept, and appeared to be very clean. The admissions person was very friendly. The rooms seem to be very clean and well-kept. They provided any amenities that my sister would need. They provide all of your meals. Based on the tour itself, I really liked it. However, I was not happy with one of the staff members there.

Champlin Shores was nice. It was well kept up, up to date, and the staff was friendly. We saw two units that were a little dated, but they're very nice and clean. The dining area was also nice. There were people right there to greet us, so it sounded like there's someone there all the time. You don't have to worry about trying to get in, waiting to get in, or getting a hold of somebody to get in. I liked the fact that the staff were right up front all the time. A staff member gave me an activity sheet. I didn't get to read it all, but it looked like they had trips to the stores, arts and crafts, walking exercises, movie night, church night, and prayer night. It looked like there's plenty to do.

Champlin Shores offers flexibility with financing and a really nice facility. The residents were friendly, approachable, and the staff seemed to really put resident's safety first. It's very clean too. The person who toured us was very welcoming, very friendly, and seemed very concerned with what we needed and what we were looking for. They also have an outdoor patio, raised bed gardens for the residents, and lots of common areas.

My parents are at Champlin Shores. They moved together to assisted living with the ability for my dad to use memory care activities and services during the day. Our experience has been very good. I like the size, the location, and their flexibility with my parents' situation and individual needs. They were able to secure a room on the first floor, and that is the same floor as the cafeteria, community room, the parlor, activities, and memory care. It puts my mom in close proximity to where my dad will be doing activities. They are in a three-story building, and most of the group services are on the first floor. They also have covered parking, and in Minnesota, that's a big deal. My mom still has her car, and we were able to secure a parking space in the basement.

We probably will choose this community, but we're not going to make a decision right away. My tour was very thorough. The lady who gave us the tour was super friendly, engaging and personal. It was really nice because as we were getting the tour, she introduced us to the nurse that was on staff and to the other employees. We ran across somebody who worked with people in memory care and we talked to her a little while. There were even some residents who were walking by and she would greet them by name. I was impressed that she knew who all these people were. Everything was very clean and very pleasing to look at. The room, square-footage wise, was a very reasonable 1-bedroom apartment. It had its own separate kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen and the living room were sort of open concept, but a counter separated them. It also had very nice views out the window, which matters to me because I'm from the country. For activities, the ladies were having a Charlie's Angels day. The ladies were in a room and they were watching all the Charlie's Angels television shows. There was another room that they used as an activity room, but they also use that as a worship space on Sundays. When I entered the main lobby, there was a gathering area, an open space with couches, and they had coffee, cookies, and some fruits set out for anybody who wanted it. There were quite a few residents down there visiting; it was nice to see them interacting like that.

It is very good so far, and my mother is going to move today. My mom felt welcome, and it seemed right. She was happy, so we are happy too. It’s a 2 bedroom apartment, and it has all your typical senior living amenities like an exercise room and a theater.

My mother is here. It wasn't as big as some of the other places we looked at, and it's clean. The staff we've engaged with were the most friendly, very good, available, and approachable. The food's good, and we've been very happy with it.

The tour was very nice. It’s a newer, clean facility with a pleasant atmosphere. The lady that gave me the tour was very helpful. You are able to pick your meals and what you want to eat.

This is the one that I liked the most. The staff was wonderful and greeted me right away. All of the people were friendly, very warm, and gracious. They’re just lovely. They showed me all around, and people would come up and talk to me. It was very community-based. The dining room was fabulous. Everybody shares with everyone. It was very nice, very clean, well put-together, and organized. The rooms were very nice. The facility had quite a few activities and exercise programs. They have a luncheon and do three meals a day. They have an alarm where residents can push the button, and staff will come to help.

We visited. The staff was nice. It was clean. They have shared units for Elderly Waiver, which was a downfall for my grandmother. The dining room was a little bit bigger because it's a bigger community.

I toured, and it’s a big facility. They have a lot of people about and down in the common area talking and laughing. The people were friendly. We actually preferred the apartments there, but it was much bigger, and Dad is a very shy man. It was clean. No hint of a nursing home about it, which was a big thing for us. The staff are very nice. Everyone I spoke to was very nice, upbeat, and smiling. You don’t get the impression that these people were being severely overworked that you sometimes get in a nursing facility. As we were standing there watching, we would watch residents come up and ask for something, and the staff have answers for them, or they are prepared to get answers for them. They give me a monthly calendar of activities, and they have at least one, if not more, activities a day. It seems that they really want to get the residents out of the apartment and socializing. It seems that everybody was very happy.

I went and visited. I've known about this facility because I go by it on my way to work. I like best their location. Their rooms were nice. The staff was very helpful. They did have different things for activities.

We were given a thorough tour of this facility by the Community Relations Director. We had the opportunity to see some of the residents while we were there. They all seemed to be very happy. They all knew the director's name as she knew all of their's. The facility is bright, cheery and welcoming; actually a place I would welcome as my home down the road. Champlin Shores gives me the peace of mind I never imagined I would find in an assisted living situation.

It is a pretty big facility. It’s a little bit older, but still very nice. It's an assisted living and they also have memory care, but a lot of them are filled up and that's the problem. From what I could see, the staff all seemed really nice and helpful. The guy that showed us around was very helpful. They have a lot of activities and looked really nice. The rooms were nice and spacious. I just think they need some a little bit of updating.

My mother has lived at Champlin Shores for the last 4 years. We did have some problems with the staff a few times in the first couple years, but I am writing now as things have changed so much and gotten so much better. They have changed many things in the last couple years, which have been really good and I think it shows how much they care. Their new director and nurses are great. My mom has some pretty difficult health issues and they always take care of her and communicate really well with myself and my brothers. I would recommend Champlin Shores to anyone looking to help their family.

We took a tour. It has a huge lobby area, and residents are often seen down in that area either just by themselves or with visitors. It has a friendly feeling. I just was so impressed with the action of the staff with residents and the staff among themselves.

The place is okay. The facility is in a nice location and the place looked clean. They have many trees around the facility and the place felt homey. The staff were pleasant. We have a friend that lives here and they seemed to be happy.
