My mother was at Inver Glen Senior Living. They were very good and very caring. It was beautiful. You walked in and you had a big sitting area and community rooms. They had excellent and very caring staff, and they took good care of my mom. They had cards, bingo, singing, and piano playing, and they had people come in. They had a library, a community room, and a workout room. It was expensive though it served her well.

We went down to Inver Glen Senior Living, and we've been trying to get ahold them. They checked about moving in, but they never called me back.
They weren't really helpful with some of the questions that we asked. Some of the rooms weren't really clean, like how I expected it if somebody is having a tour.
The staff and employees were helpful as far as showing the rooms and answering questions. The maintenance guy came up and introduced himself to me.
From the outside and the inside, it was immaculate. We loved it. We fell in love with it, and we had to move in; but they never got back to us on any information. They never called us back on anything that we called them about.
They are out in the open, and yet they're still close enough to Wal-Mart, Target, and Walgreens. If they need to get out, they could get out and get their stuff instead having to drive miles to get to the places.

My dad moved into the memory care of Inver Glen Assisted Living last October. It's phenomenal, excellent, amazing, and we're happy with it. The staff is really great, and we feel very safe there. They have preschool in the building, and my dad is even singing with the preschoolers. They offer praise, they color together, and they recently decorated the Christmas tree. This facility is joining young minds with old minds and it's really working. It's located close to my family.

My mother lived at Inver Glen for three years. During that time she was in independent living first, then moved seamlessly to assisted living and finally into memory care. We found the staff to be extremely caring and helpful. The food, which was very important to my mother was fabulous. there were many social events...Parties for every occasion and residents were taken in wheel chairs to assure that they didn't just sit in their rooms. There is very low staff turnover and all residents are greeted by staff using their names any time they are out of their rooms.
We had non of the aforementioned problems in memory care. There is a different facility for skilled nursing care that is part of this group. Some people may need that kind of care.
As a family we felt this ended up being the best choice we could have made. My mother blossomed with all the attention and activities after sitting alone in her condo. The seamlessness of moving her from independent to assisted living was another big plus...Same staff, same dining room, same activities. In short we would highly recommend this facility.

Inver Glen Assisted Living was the place we liked the most. Everything was great about this place. The management and the staff knew every resident that they run into by name and knew something personable about that individual. They were very attentive to everyone. The place was very clean. It was a new place, so everything was up-to-date. They have outings where they take the residents shopping for the day, some residents were playing cards when we were there, and they have different crafts. They have a community room where they could watch a big football game. We tried the food, and it was very good.

I know somebody in assisted living at Inver Glen, and I visit. The people are really nice and caring. The food is pretty good, the rooms are very well-kept, and the place is very welcoming.

This chain of assisted living facilities does not deserve one star. The aids in the memory care unit are not certified nurses assistances. They are home health aids. Most of them are kind and really try to do a good job regardless of the lack of training that is provided to them. Had our family known about the lack of training provided and that they were not CNA's we would have never placed my mother in their memory care unit. They are extremely understaffed. 2 aids to dress, bathe, feed, give meds, and care for 14-16 residents in one wing of the memory care unit. Our family spent the last 12 days of my mothers life, 24/7, by her bedside and were horrified about what went on and what didn't. Dozens of issues have been reported to the MN Adult/Elder Abuse and the MN Health Department. The issues include errors in medication dispensed, morphine scheduled every two hours not given for six hours because the aids said they were "busy"; this happened for three days in a row in the morning. So our mother had no pain management. My mother was unable to speak for the past 2 years due to her Alzheimer's. She did not have a voice and I shutter ever time I think of what she has endured.
The director and the Director of Nursing nor the LPN nurse did not check on my mother one time in the 12 days we were there or even ask about her. Thank God we had hospice for my mother and they would stop in every day. After our mothers passing, not one person in management offered their condolences. Our mother has been gone now for 20 days and I received the final bill on the mail with a sympathy card (no envelope) tucked inside. I guess they saved a stamp. Please do your research before placing your parents. Then spend lots of time with them. Including overnights.

The staff of Inver Glen Senior Living are very friendly and very outgoing. I perceive them to be very caring. They seem to always have smiles on their faces and they call the residents by their first names. They are very talkative and engage in conversation. A lot of their services are à la carte pieces, which was very appealing to my mother. The monthly rent was very reasonable. It was in a location that she wanted to be in and they had a unit that was available for her to move into right away -- that was of particular importance to her. They have a wide variety of card and board games as well as Bingo. Additionally, they go grocery shopping on a regular basis.

A beautiful, clean, well-run facility with a sincere, caring staff! After caring for my Dad (who subsequently died of cancer) and my mother (with dementia) for a long time, knew it was time to move her. The Director, Julie, has been so helpful, always gives guidance, returns calls quickly and seems to know mom really well. I am not sure how she does it with numerous residents! She was especially helpful as we muddled our way through transitioning mom into assisted living, then into memory care. The staff treats our mother with respect and appreciates her sense of humor. We always feel welcomed to visit or stay for supper! The programs and events they offer are interesting and appropriate.
