We went to see Parkshore Senior Campus in St. Louis Park. The staff seemed very open and friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to give me a very detailed tour. We got to see the rooms and they were very nice. Probably not at the same level as the other facility I visited, that was a little older, and a little smaller. One downside of Parkshore though is that they didn't have in-room laundry services, which is important for my mother. It was a bigger facility, so they had more amenities. They had a heated pool, they had a workout center, and a few nicer amenities. I did go to the cafeteria while they were eating, but I didn't try and eat the food. It was a very nice building and it was welcoming. They had a lot of courtyard areas. It was a bigger facility so there was more outdoor space and outdoor gardens.

I liked Parkshore Senior Community very much and am planning on moving in there. The two-bedroom facing east was beautiful, and I loved it. The location was one of the most important reasons why I am choosing this place. It was in a small community area, which provided everything one would need, like walking areas and grocery shopping. There's a Target right across the street and a movie theater nearby. I had two very good meals there: one in the dining room and one in the bistro. The bistro could improve on their food, but what I had in the dining room was quite good.

My wife went to Parkshore for assisted living, and I have a two-bedroom independent apartment. We have been here for three weeks and like it very much. It’s new, huge, and beautiful. The rooms are good. We have two bedrooms with a living room, nice windows, lights, and views. There’s a large bedroom with it’s own bath and another bedroom with the bath down the hall from it. There’s not much space for dining, but there’s space for a small table in the kitchen. They have two dining rooms connected to the assisted living, plus a community room, library, card room, a spa, a warm pool, and a gym with exercise equipment. It’s a very nice place. You can cook your own food, and they give you eight meals a month with your rent.

Parkshore Senior Community was very open and pretty, and everyone was very friendly. They have different programs, cards, exercise room, swimming, and aqua aerobics, and they've just got numerous activities. We've got one friend there already, and she's very busy all the time with people in the community. They have a little restaurant there, and they have three meals each day. You can buy extras at any time, and the food was just excellent. They have a beauty salon, library, swimming pool, exercise room, crafts room, and a couple of rooms where they show movies. It's lovely. It's very bright and open, and it's just very nice. I haven't got one bad thing to say about the whole place.

I moved my mother-in-law to Parkshore Senior Campus. It was very clean, nice on the inside, and right next door to where she worked. The people were super friendly. There was a lake to walk around and a ton of activities, like on a cruise ship. It was great. The rooms were tiny but nice. I ate once there and had excellent food. They had a full dining room with hot meals and a salad bar, and if you were there at an off-time when they weren't serving dinner, they had a deli cold cuts bar where you could buy sandwiches and fruits, which was nice. Another thing I liked a lot is that eveything's charged to key fobs for your rooms, so you never have to carry money around. I think they are outstanding and my mother-in-law is very happy there. The price is on the higher end, but you get what you pay for.

I visited Parkwood Shores for my mom. It had both assisted living and memory care. Out of the three facilities I visited, I liked the memory care at Parkwood Shores the best. The apartments looked exactly like the apartments in the assisted living section, so that if at some point my mom needed to be moved to assisted living, they essentially make the apartment look exactly like the one she had been in. She can get the exact same floor plan, so she won’t even have to know that she had been moved if her memory would be sufficiently gone. If she had to move again, that would be stressful, as would be for anybody, but Parkwood Shores really works at making moving as not stressful as possible and gives you a feeling of continuity. It had an excellent activity program and friendly, outgoing staff and residents. They have a wide variety of activities. Mom likes cultural activities. She likes going to the symphony and theater which they allow and encourage; they also bring in music and art programs. They have lots of physical activities, so Mom could get some exercise. They have an essential plan of levels of care, so you don’t have to pay for services you’re not using. The rooms are attractive and have views of a park. It had an attractive setting.

My visit at Parkshore Senior Community was absolutely wonderful. It was beautiful. The reason why I didn’t choose them is due to the type of diagnosis my mother had; her disease would outlast the money, and Parkshore is strictly private pay, so that’s a drawback. For a place that is basically private pay, I thought the rooms and apartments were extremely small nor as clean as I anticipated for that type of environment. They had a lot of amenities and activities, but for the living conditions, I was a little bit disappointed because I thought it was going to be a little bit cleaner, and it really wasn’t.

I did visit Parkshore Senior Community. Overall, it was very nice and spacious. It overlooks the waterpark. It was also in close proximity to the grocery stores and shopping. I was really impressed with it. They have a swimming pool, which I really like. They also have different activities for the seniors. The staff who took me on the tour was very knowledgeable, and she was really great. I really like her.

My aunt is in Parkshore. For the most part, I think they are doing well. There is always a question about confidence, but for the most part, they address those issues immediately. The staff has been very accommodating. As far as the facility, it is wonderful. The location and everything has been good. She has an access to a swimming pool and a garage, so all of her needs are meet. They have been wonderful, and all of the people have their apartments.
I am impressed with the underground parking because we want a place where she can park her handicapped van inside. I am also impressed with the pool because she needs it for physical therapy purposes, and we also have access to a therapist there as well so she doesn't have to go outside in the winter. I also like the upkeep of the building. They remodeled maybe 5 years ago. They are really good.
They have a beautiful garden and have a place where people can go and walk or wheel together. They have movies, concerts, speakers, and exercise classes. They have a salon that is available, and she has utilized that. They have gardening activities also. The staff calls the people by name. When we were starting out, they have someone feed her, and it took about a month, but she found her little group who she is comfortable being with in the dining room. They give you what you like or what you need in terms of half portions or finger foods.

I visited Parkshore. The staff's work attitude was very positive. The rooms were nice, spacious, and bright. The dining room was nice. It was attractive. As for activities, they have yoga, swimming, water aerobics, cards, and crafts. They have fitness equipment. However, what I would suggest for them to improve on is the price.

Dad is in Parkshore and was first at assisted living, but a week later he fell, and we had to move him into assisted. I have done two moves in a month. The care of the staff is well for the assisted living.
They have a gorgeous workout facility with a heated lap pool. People want to stay active, but they don’t want to leave the complex. That was one of the big selling points for my dad. Overall, the cleanliness and aesthetics are above average.

I just signed on at Parkshore, and I obviously like the place. I like the apartment; I have a dining room, living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a bath, and they also have a restaurant. The sanitation is excellent, and the location is fine.

Parkshore is not large, but it’s very friendly. It’s pretty, and it doesn’t look like an institution. The one we were looking at was two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. If you are in the assisting living you have meals everyday, but if you’re in independent living, you will only have two meals a week, and the facility is very clean.

I like Parkshore a lot because it was at Saint Louise Park which was were my parent where living before. It was my first choice. The apartments were nice and what I liked about them was that they had a separate building for assisted living but they were connected and if you started as independent living, you had first choice if you needed to go to assisted living. I didn't get the chance to eat the food there but I was able to talk to the people who lived there about it. They were very pleased and they had this kind of a bistro or like a coffee shop area. So, if you don't want to eat at the restaurant, there's this another area that adjoined the restaurant like a little casual coffee shop and they always make fresh pastries. They had a pool which was in the right size was always kept warm and they had exercise area. The view of the ground was very attractive and it was next to a park and it was in a good location.

Park Shores is a new facility and it has a pool. The location is good. Everything is located nearby. It's close to the clinic that we go to. It's also close to the hospital. The place is very nice. The staff that we saw is very accommodating and very helpful.
