My dad and I toured Cogir of Mill Creek. He liked that place the most, because it was close to where he is currently living. The apartments were also very nice. The maintenance was fine. The staff was great and very helpful. There were lots of people out doing things, particularly in the common areas. There was definitely a buzzing of people. Their dining area looked very nice, too.

I visited the Cogir of Mill Creek. The facility itself was beautiful, it was very, very nice. They have nice rooms and the dining room was beautiful, it looked inviting to have your meals there. The staff, Kevin and the woman there, they're so friendly and very helpful. I liked the amenities they had and the outdoor space. I didn't try the food but I liked the fact that it's open so you can go any time of the day. There are no certain meal times, and I thought that was appealing that you can just go and order whenever you want. It's a nice feature.

My mom is in Cogir of Mill Creek. The facility is very clean and very nice. The rooms are spacious. Sometimes, the food is not so pleasant. They are short-staffed. They have way too many residents for the care that's being given to people. They have concerts. They play bingo and go on outings. They have a pool, a community garden, and a workout room. They should increase their staff and have healthier food options.

I would just say that I had a very positive impression of Cogir of Mill Creek. It seemed to be a wonderful environment. They have quite a chef there and quite a food program going. They have a quite fantastic culinary program, and they don't have scheduled mealtimes. The residents can stroll into the dining room and be served like a restaurant and eat when they want to. An entire culinary program is a different approach and I think it's wonderful. Their chef did make me a lunch.
My exposure was extremely limited and if I came, I was a prospective customer, so of course, the staff was wonderful. I think they're wonderful anyway. What I did experience was very positive, but it was also very limited. I was served lunch. We went to the side dining room. The chef came in and sat and chatted a while, and I think their entire food program is exceptionally good. The lunch was perfectly fine. I'm vegetarian also, so it involves something a little off the beaten path. The fellow who was touring me through there chatted a little bit and said when they brought the chef on board, he wanted to get very high-quality ingredients and to shop locally and to just actually really be a chef. At first, corporate was like, "You want to do what?" But then they realized that he had something awesome going on and they even have a little garden the residents like to tend, so he has fresh herbs and brings in locally fresh products, products of all different varieties. Instead of one truck rolling up with standard institutional food, they have lovely, fresh things with high-quality ingredients. My meal was perfectly fine, but they chatted at some length about it, and I was very positively impressed by that.
It's very nice and very pleasant. They have a swimming pool there. At one point, people could bring guests, but with COVID, things have kind of changed. They do stuff like water aerobics and fitness things, and it's for the residents. The facility was quite nice, and it's in Millcreek, so it's pretty upscale.

My mother has moved into Cogir of Mill Creek Senior Living. It's hard to say much because there's a lockdown, so we can't see what's going on. They might be a little short staffed. We have not visited since we moved her in. We just moved her stuff in there. There's not particularly any communication with the staff unless I call them. There's not much right now because everybody's kind of locked down. They just started to have meals now in the dining room. They have to take people shopping eventually.
Her door knob isn't working right. It's worn, and when you try to close it without turning the knob, it won't close and latch. They know that and it's been a couple of months and nothing has been done about it. She needs some grab handles to get in and out of the shower and they know about that as well. They said they put a work order in, and it has been two months and still nothing has happened.
My mom thinks the staff members are nice, but I don't know any of them personally. If it's 80 degrees out, it's 80 degrees in her room, and if it's 90 degrees, it's 90 degrees in her room. I would say the value for the money is average.

My mother likes it. It seems like a really nice place and it's nicely laid out. It's three levels and I like that it's more spread out. It makes my mom have to walk from her room. The people are helpful. Any kind of forms I needed filled out, they got them filled out immediately. They always have the fireplaces going, so it's warm. They have plenty of food. I haven't heard that she complained about anything. They had a sing-along yesterday, they have people that do exercises, they play pinochle, and they go to museums. There's quite a bit of activity. I'm happy with the place.

It has been great. My mom said the food is OK. I’ve eaten there a couple of times, and it is not like a five-star restaurant, but it is pretty good. The dining area is more like a restaurant open all day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and you just go in and order. They have specials, but if you don’t like what they’re having, they will make you a hamburger or a sandwich. They always have a fruit bar at breakfast and salad bar at lunch and a private dining room that you can reserve. We had a dinner party there for my dad’s birthday. There is a lot of flexibility. The common areas remind me of being in a hotel's lovely living room area. They have a media room that they use for church service or you can reserve it for a party. It feels homey but it is not small. It is bigger but doesn’t feel sterile at all to me. It has been great. Everybody has been super nice taking care of my mom and looking out for her because she has to be there for six weeks without my dad and her children. They watch out for her. She can have all her meals brought to her in her room, and they’re more than happy to do that. It is really nice.

We visited and they were friendly and accommodating. It was a very nice tour. The apartments were small but clean. The amenities were really good.

As far as the personnel was concerned, we heard it was quite good, but we decided we're not ready to move into that kind of living. They were in the midst of doing things, so it wasn't the best at the moment, but it looked like the rooms would be alright. It looked like they had good facilities. Apparently, they had quite a few things going on as far as games and stuff, and they take people to things at times, so they are able to go around that way. They seemed to have a lot of activities going on. I liked the location, in a sense because it will put us a little closer to our daughter's place, and the layout was pretty good for the overall facility.

It seemed very nice. I like their location. The staff was interested and willing to take us around. They gave us a complete tour and even offered us a meal. They were very accommodating. It looked like they had lots of things to do. They had an exercise room, an indoor swimming pool, a library, and a game room.

In the last year I have helped three of my grandparents move into two different facility's. I also helped in the process of finding the locations. I was surprised to find so many different options. We toured many different facilities and found that there were a few things that were a must have. One being the smell a lot of homes have an Oder that just makes you feel like your in a "old folks" home. I was presently surprised that it smelled warm and cozy. All the shared spaces were open yet cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of men witch is just what my grandpa was looking for. There are many activities that he will be able to participate in. The food is wonderful and the not having a time you have to go eat is just what he needs. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to help find a warn, friendly, safe, and clean place for there loved ones.I am glad he is in a great place like this that lets him still have a bit of independence! It's just what he needs.
