The staff members at GenCare at The Lodge at Eagle Ridge were wonderful. They were very nice and very thorough. The follow-up was great. I like everybody that we talked to. The rooms were a little small, but not bad. They're very clean, and they re-do everything. We saw the room that my mom was going into before it was completely done, but they were redoing it a lot. The grounds were beautiful. There's a beautiful view from the dining room. It was set up pretty much like a restaurant. We went late for lunch, but we were not overly impressed with the food. But they have a really good plan. They serve all organic and things like that. I had quiche, which was way overdone. My mother ordered breakfast, and she said it was really good. They had a lot of activities available. The first time I went, there were some people in the activity room watching a movie. They also had a contest going on with other GenCare facilities on building gingerbread houses. And then there were some people playing cards. They offer a lot of amenities. They have a complete gym with a personal trainer that's in there Monday through Friday, and that was one of their big points for me. They have four nurses on staff. They have a good care plan. They have a beauty parlor. Another thing that I like is they have a nurse from the pharmacy that comes three times a week. They also have a craft room that I thought was cool. They have bunches of supplies in the room that you could use so you don't have to bring your own supplies.

I toured GenCare The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. It was a good experience. Everything looked nice. They were well organized. However, I don't think my parents were ready to do it. The one who gave me the tour seemed a little stressed out because I think she was the only one there at the time or something happened. I think she was feeling a little stretched thin. I think the overall experience was OK. It was satisfactory. The apartments were nice, but they were small. I think that was probably the number one thing that my parents were having a hard time with: the small amount of space that was involved with most of the places. Maintenance seemed fine. I thought the dining area was nice, but we did not try the food. When I got there, it was around the 4th of July. They had lots of decorations up. It seemed like everyone was happy. They had lots of activities.

I went to GenCare The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. It will be too expensive for my relative right now, but it was great. I enjoyed the walkthrough. Patricia was very thorough and very kind. It's just a nice friendly place. The accommodations were great. They have a lot of different things that he will enjoy. She took me to the rooms and I toured two of the rooms, which were the perfect size for him. Everything's just great. I walked through the fitness center and she took me to where the garden is. If he wanted to do golf, he could do that. It was just a great experience.

I toured GenCare The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. They had plenty of nurses. It was just a nice place with a beautiful view. My father is also familiar with that because it used to be an Elks Lodge that he was a member of years ago, so it was a familiar thing. It was excellent. I think they do a wonderful job. The staff who toured me around was very informative and very helpful. They took me to see several rooms. I like the rooms. They weren't exactly what I was looking for. I don't know why people put carpeting in places like that. But other than that, it was fine. Some of the refrigerators were small, too, and I thought that was weird. They have a courtyard, but no pool.

I toured both independent and assisted living of GenCare The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. The community seemed very open. They seemed to be pretty at ease with everything. The facility itself made me think I want to move in there. The staff who gave me the tour was outstanding. The rooms were a little small, but manageable. They have a Friday happy hour, weekly outings, live music that comes in once a month, an exercise room, a pool table, and a reading room. The outdoor spaces were pretty peaceful and well-manicured; it was just a lovely vision.

I toured The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. They're friendly, clean, lively, and it would have been a good fit. It offered everything my uncle needed. The staff is informative and friendly. They have a gym, walking trail, outings, and gatherings. They were also in a nice neighborhood.

My mom will be in an apartment at GenCare The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. She'll have her own apartment and they'll come in and check and help her with certain things. I like the atmosphere, the environment is just very pleasant, and the different levels of care will be useful. I think the apartments are all laid out well and they're very comfortable, clean, and nice. They all have nice different kinds of views because there's nice landscaping outside for people to look at. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating.

The Lodge had the nicest facilities, except that it didn't have a pool. The location was a little difficult to get to. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was nice. The pricing was higher than I liked. However, it was the most comfortable of all the places I visited.

The staff and the residents of GenCare Renton were totally friendly. It was very clean, and they had a big room full of people playing some sort of game. It wasn’t bingo, but a game that you can play with a large group of people, and they were having a hilarious time. I’m sure they had great activities. They had a huge dining room that surely could accommodate tons of people. I would rate it 4 stars simply because you have to go everywhere to get things done. It’s a bit far to go for general shopping but when you get there, you’ve got everything. They’re an easy drive to a place called Southcenter Westfield Mall. The staff was excellent. I met a personal trainer and the activities coordinator, who were personable. I know they go somewhere every day in a bus and a van to accommodate as many people as they can when they go on activities all over the Seattle area.

GenCare Renton at The Lodge was a very nice place, but I couldn't afford the amount. The staff was good -- everything was good. They had bingo, potlucks, and outings. The food was nice looking. I liked that everybody was friendly, it seemed like they all knew their job, and they were helpful.

My mom is in GenCare Renton at The Lodge at Eagle Ridge. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The accommodations are really nice, clean and up-to-date. She has her own private apartment, which is included in the price and they clean it. It is in a good size, appointed well, she has a door not only to the hall, but also to the outside. They allow pets which is really important to her. They have a restaurant there and we usual eat with her once a week. They have their special and a wide variety of choices each night and if it doesn't appeal to you, they also have other menu items which you can select from. The food is really good and prepared really well. If you can't get out, they will bring your food to your room once in a while. It has a lot of different kinds of activities that you can do either on campus or off campus. They have lots of good transportation options. Though it takes them a little while for them to coordinate with her pharmacy to have the medication deliver the medication to her and we usually have to pick them up, I think it is pretty much settled now. Everything seems really good.

Mom is in GenCare, and I feel like she's safe there. They have good nursing staff. The staff is very helpful, caring, and very personable. The feeding area is like a restaurant, and its very comfortable. They have a good menu with lots of choices. They have lots of activities. They have musicians come in. They have trips to stores and parks. I don't know if my mom will ever go on those because she doesn't like to be with old people. It is a larger facility, so it has spacious hallways and group areas. However, right now, their elevator is down, and it’s a little bit frustrating, but I know there aren't many elevator companies in the area, so it must be difficult to get a new one.

I really like The Lodge. In fact, that's where I would like to go. It was up on the top of a hill and it was outside the city. The grounds were very lovely to walk around and that counts a lot to me because the only exercise I usually do is walking. Their hallways were spacious. Their rooms were spacious and their bedrooms were bigger. You didn't have to have your bed back up against the window and this is just a personal thing for me. Their staff was excellent. I thought they were very good. The lady that showed us around does seem to know everything and she was very pleasant to talk to. Their activities looked fine and they're very good. They have little trips here and there, e.g., to museums and to gardens. This facility also provides two meals a day, which would be fine with me because I don't usually eat anyway.

I had a very positive experience with GenCare. Their staff was very helpful in making my decision; they were there every step of the way. They offered me move in assistance as well as a trial period, this allowed my mother to acclimate and further strengthen her choice. The executive director, Tami R., became as close as family to us. We owe her a great deal. The culinary program, created by Bastyr University, featured fresh ideas and a colorful plate. They have a unique health program designed for the low mobility, and the instructor is a wonderfully bright young woman. I recommend this property to anyone I can, I wouldn't mind seeing myself in a place like this when I ripen. I visit this property quite often and I am always pleased with the progress I see both in my mother, as well as in the company. GenCare Lifestyle Inc., not just another senior "home".
