Definitely a great place that provides excellent and personal care. My mother has been there for a few years and is very happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend it for excellent care and caring service.

My husband is in the Haven in Allyn. It is very spacious, clean and well taken care of. They clean it every day. I choose it basically because it is close to my home and I can go see him every day. They take good care of the patients physically. Medically, they are doing okay, but I think they can do better. Some of the staff is good and I think some are not as good as they can be. I like to see a little more medical training because I think sometimes they are not cognizant of something they need to be cognizant of and I think it is because they are all CNAs. The owner is the only one that I am aware of that is a registered nurse and she's not always there. I guess I feel a little uncomfortable with not having somebody there that really knows their business, but I think the CNAs are doing the best they can with the knowledge they have. They do give out the medications, but if there is a symptom, they don’t seem to always recognize it. It is also expensive. It is $7,750.00 a month. It starts out with only my husband in the room, but now, they put another guy in with him, but they don't bother to reduce the price at all. So, I think I am paying for a single room. The room is not really big. There is enough room for two single beds and two dressers. Then there is probably a six-foot work space between the two beds, but its adequate. They have tables in their dining area and each one sits 4 to 5 people and each of them have their spot. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it is lacking a little bit of flavor, but other people may have a different feeling than I do. Basically, ones in a while, they play with a ball, but most of the time, the people are their sitting and watching TV or sleeping or some of them do puzzles. I don’t think there's really a scheduled activity. I will recommend it, if they have the funds. I think they can hire a person or two because sometimes the people there becomes frustrated because they have so much going on and they are running like their heads are cut-off.
