I had an in-person tour of Liberty Place, and it felt good. The facility appeared to be very clean. I was looking at the people that were living there, and they all seemed very happy. I like that aspect of it. The staff was very pleasant. I was looking for something that had an indoor gym and maybe some exercise classes, but they didn't offer that. They have a dining area, a fireplace area, a little library, and a place where you can even invite family in and have a little bit more room for people to visit with you. It was a very pleasant place. I didn't notice any smells or even any antiseptic smells. I saw a couple of the rooms, and they were nice but very small. The location is down the road for me, close to a hospital or doctors, only 10 minutes from my kids, and very close to town.

We really liked Liberty Place Assisted Living Community. The staff was really nice, very polite, and offered us something to drink. The lady we met was one of the admin people, and she was very polite also. She explained everything and answered a lot of our questions. She was very informative and even gave us more ideas on how some things should work. She was an excellent help. The place was nice and very clean. We got to see the style of a one-bedroom, which had a year waiting list. The dining area was very nicely set up. They were actually serving dinner at the time when I was there. It looked like they had a few different things because not everybody was eating the same food. They have a nutritional list. They will work with my parents (just like what they do with others) to give them the kind of food that they eat and can't eat. I really liked that. There is a community room with a TV, activity room, crafting activities, and a schedule of the things they do for them, including walking around. They try to get them out as much as they can. If they can't get them out, they try to do things inside the facility. They want all the residents to participate. They have nice grounds outside, like a garden area. It's very well maintained. Some of the residents even bring a pot of their favorite flowers with them.

My mom will be moving into Liberty Place Port Orchard. We chose this place because of their director, Linda. I like her. She's helped us get settled in, and she's very upfront, honest, and very knowledgeable about the process of how to work the finances and get your loved ones in there quickly. She's been doing this for 15 years. It's a small community, and all of the staff is very nice. I think they said they only had 40 beds. It smelled nice, which is important. It's not too perfumy that they're covering up a smell, nor a dirty nursing home sort of urine or anything. The owner has a dog that was really nice and comes in with her all the time. The place is also reasonably priced. There are lots of activities. There's a salon, and the staff has just all been phenomenal to work with to get her in there. I've been really impressed with them, and it looks gorgeous.

My mom moved into Liberty Place on the 1st of June. It's been quite pleasant, they're very thoughtful, caring, and very helpful. They're very involved with the residents, they do all sorts of crafts, and fun projects. It's a nice community. They're going through a new chef, so food has been sporadic lately, not bad, but not as good as what they're getting, but they're working on that. Every Sunday they have a minister that comes in and does services.

Liberty Place was not as nice as others that we looked at. The staff was very good and informative. I didn't see any amenities other than a craft room. The rooms were fine and the facility was nice, but probably not as nice as the other places. It was well kept and it was in a good location. There were lots of places close by, so it was convenient. The look of it was a little traditional.

Liberty Place was a nice place. The staff I met there was very nice and very knowledgeable. It was a smaller place, and I liked it better, but it was only our second choice because the other one was closer to the three sons. It was clean and modern, too. They were willing to take care of diabetic residents, and they seemed very caring. They wanted to put my father near the nurses.

My relative has been in Liberty Place. I'm not so sure if she is happy there. It's sufficient as far as what she has. Because of the virus, she wasn't able to tour this place, so she was expecting a place where she can work out and do some exercises, but there isn't any place there with any exercise equipment. Also she was told some of the people that live there have the ability to play mahjong games that require mental acuity. Apparently they misrepresented how well the people were there. My relative doesn't feel comfortable because she is not able to communicate with some of the folks there because they don't have good memories. She is disappointed that she can't be around people that are at her same level of mental abilities. She is disappointed. We're not sure how long she's going to be there, and she'll probably leave. Food is OK; it's fine. It's nothing great, it is what it is. I'm not so sure if she is happy with the activities. Like I said, she wanted to play a specific game and she did ask about that game when she moved in, but it's not at her level, so she's disappointed. The staff is fine.

I chose Liberty Place - Port Orchard because it felt like a better environment for my mom. The other place we went to smelled like urine and was dark, and I don't want my mother in that kind of place. She has a small apartment there, the people are very friendly, and conscientious. It doesn't smell like urine. It's a small place with just 39 rooms, so it's a little more quaint. I haven't tried any of the food, but it looks good. The power went out so they had to pull the barbecue out and do all that so the patients weren't without food, and they're very good about it. I think the activities are good, I just like it there. It's COVID so they can't take them out like they normally do, like they take them out for shopping. They're inside doing their physical fitness, games, and all that stuff. It's a pretty good value for what we're getting for her.

I think my friend has made a decision to go to Liberty Place. They have an opening right now. She felt comfortable there. We didn't get to go in and look at the room and stuff that she would be in. We had to do that by virtual tour. My friend likes the people that was there that interviewed us. She also likes the lady that did the assessment. It was a tour that they had set up on their computer. We were able to go into the library because my friend was really cold. They closed the door and we had an interview there in masks. She plugged in the computer and was able to show us what one of the rooms looked like. They have an activity room and they can do classes there. It was just a comfortable feeling for my friend that she would be able to sit out in the community room. It was a smaller place, and my friend likes a smaller community. They were very attentive and knowledgeable. We only saw two staff members. They were very informative. They took time with my friend and I thought they were really nice and knowledgeable.

My father's room at Liberty Place Assisted Living is good, it's clean. I'm very pleased with the staff and the food is okay. They've got a very active activities director there, and there's a lot going on there. They have an exercise thing that they do. The other day, they had a family meal for Christmas that we did which was good. The facilities are nice. It's close in price with the other places, and it's expensive.

Liberty Place was only assisted living. It's all on one floor, and the building went around with a central court area. It's a nice private garden area for everybody. The person during the tour was quite helpful and able to give us good information. They were a little less flexible on the food, and the quality wasn't that good.
