Quail Park in Lynnwood was almost resort-like. It's very large and very well kept and the staff was extremely helpful. The gal that gave us the tour was fantastic. The dining areas are excellent; they have three different dining rooms. Their outdoor spaces were spacious. There's a lot of space so it's like a big campus and well maintained. Their different restaurants look special.

We toured Quail Park of Lynnwood. We had chosen that place as the number one choice, then they did an assessment and they felt that that place wasn't for her unless they put her in memory care. We did not think she was ready for memory care. We already put a deposit down and everything, and we picked a room, but then after the assessment, they just felt, memory care was going to be needed for her because of how large it is, how people can go in and out, not locked down, things like that. They have a wonderful staff. After they assessed her, they had to back off of the assisted care because they felt that she was too much of a walker and that she might get lost.
They had a newer section and an older section, and both were wonderful. The room was a very good size. The one we chose was kind of a walk-around. You walk into the little kitchen area, which had full-size appliances that were included like the oven and the stove. They had a full-sized refrigerator, and it was large enough to have a little eating area. It had a nice window.
The place had two bistros, one in each kind of area, and a dining room. It had a pool, and the closet was very large in her room, the bathroom has an easy step-in shower, lots of handholds. The living room was larger than most.

I toured Quail Park of Lynnwood about a year ago. It was a pretty expensive place and my mother cannot afford it, but it was a really nice place. The staff was fine, informative, and talked to us about the facility. It was brand new, the apartments were fine, they had a big dining room, and it was well laid out.

I have lived at Quail Park for many years. The staff is knowledgeable and very caring. I have enjoyed knowing the staff and residents. They are all very good people.

Quail Park in Lynnwood is building cottages so we're just waiting for that so we can move in. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The lodge or the big building has apartments just like all the other senior communities do. The property is 16 acres, they're building all these cottages, and you get to take part of stuff that happens in the main building. It was great; the lady that gave us the tour did a great job. They have a pool where they do water aerobic, they have a theater, and they have just about everything. It was just like all the other independent living places. They have a lot of amenities which we liked. We really liked their duplex cottages. Behind the community is all natural woods, it's like being on top of a mountain. They have a lot of activities and things going on, they have a little chapel where they have services, and their cottages have a one-car garage, which is very important to us. The lady that did the tour was extremely good. We have tried their food. The staff member gave us a meal ticket and we've eaten there a couple of times. The food was very good. We had lunch there. They have a salad bar there all day long, there's soup, and a whole bunch of stuff on the menu. The layout of the place was very nice. We've toured many other places but when we went to Quail Park it just felt like the right place. Both my husband and I and our daughter really liked it. It's located on top of a hill with forests around, and the big main building seemed like a lodge.

My mom is living in Quail Park Lynnwood. It's a very nice place and much better than the other memory care facilities that I saw. They seem to be taking very good care of my mom, although they are a little bit challenged on activities since they've have quite a bit turnover and they have a hard time getting people hired. The food is OK, and they offer two choices for food. You can order off a menu if you really want to make an effort to do so, but my mom and I would feel bad doing that in front of other people. My mom can, however, go to the assisted living side and eat in their nice dining room for free, but she'd have to get over there by herself. The rooms are nice and kept clean. The place is painted a lively color, and there are lots of big, pretty, and interesting murals on the wall. It's not a drab, medical-looking place. It's very nicely-decorated inside. Some of the staff members are excellent, and some are a little lazy.

It's a beautiful, new facility, but completely understaffed. The independent residents seem to be doing fine, but residents in Memory Care aren't getting the attention they need. For those residents with extra needs (and pretty much everyone in memory care DOES have an extra need), they're ignored because there's always some other crisis going on. Our family gets constant phone calls from mom who is in Memory Care, crying or asking where anyone is. There's only one nurse on staff at a time (plenty of orderlies, who seem to be standing around waiting for someone to tell them what to do -- taking no initiative and pretty clueless about even basic things). If the one nurse is involved with a resident, that leaves the remaining 40+ residents unattended. This is a SUPER expensive facility, and our family seems to be there all the time advocating for mom. What are we paying all this money for when we end up coming in every day to be the caregivers?

The people in Quail Park and the program itself made up our mind to put mom there. They have so many wonderful activities everyday, but mostly it was the wonderful people. They have a very well-trained and loving staff; it was just a quality place. Mom has a beautiful, big, sunny room, carpeted floor, and a lovely bathroom. It’s beautiful and brand new. The food is wonderful and there are two different dining rooms: I can either eat with her in the memory care or go to a big dining room. She is very happy, secured, and satisfied there.

Quail Park of Lynnwood only opened last January, so it's a brand new center. The location and community is just very nice. It's a retirement, assisted and memory care community, but mom is in the memory care. Mom has a brand new room, and we brought her furniture. It's not even half full, because they haven't opened up the second floor. It's almost one caregiver to one person there. The fact that it's new means they're constantly learning. She's kind of in between assisted living and memory care, so we take care of her shower and we're not paying for extra medical service. I haven't eaten in the restaurant, but I've tried their snacks. They make cookies or bread every day. They're also putting up a fancier dining room. Every time I go there, it seemed like they're always interacting. The last time I was there, they were playing bingo. They take them on field trips, too. The only problem they have right now is maintaining housekeeping. I think that's very important in memory care. They are still in the learning process.

Quail Park of Lynnwood is a new facility. It's really close to my home. It's huge. It seemed like a really good place but I thought Mom would get lost in such a large place and not get the care that I wanted for her. It was a beautiful place though. It hasn't opened yet but when I walked in, the people there were really friendly. They were really attentive. They showed me the place. The rooms were very nice. They have small suites and then they have large apartments depending on what you can afford. The small suites have their own little kitchenette with marble countertops. With regards to dining facilities, they actually had three places to eat. They have a large dining room, a bar, and a coffee shop. Other amenities include their own theater, a workout room, and a library. It's just nice all-around facility. In the center of the facility, there is a garden area where people can go and do gardening and stuff if they wish. I was impressed with it, I just didn't think it would fit my mother's needs. Regarding activities, because they weren't opened yet, they wanted feedback from the residents there to see what kind of activities they would enjoy and then they're going to build a curriculum around that.
