Staff are wonderful and make you feel at home and cared for. There are always activities planned and have a large turn out of residents at each activity. Food is good and the place is odor free and clean. It would be nice if they would redecorate the interior, as it does not do Riverside East justice. It's a little out dated and as I look back, was almost why we didnt choose to move here, but happy we did!

I currently live in the Bothell building, I want to say if you are looking for a place for your family member, I'd kep looking. This facility rarely has any activities, most resident are bored and lonely. THey have such a high turnover of staff its seems like there is always a new face to learn. The manager does not know what he is doing and seems to have a rather short temper. He has no people skills outside of getting you to sgin on the dotted line. If I could move I would.

Riverside East was nice but busy, so one of my concerns is the medical service they can provide. One advantage is that they’re near the senior center. Bothell is growing like crazy and developing into a greater attraction, so they have a lot of cultural things as well as more restaurants. The staff was open, forthright, and friendly. They have the usual standard activities such as chess and checkers, card games, occasional lectures, and groups that get together for cocktail hour once or twice a month. The place has an active, diverse community. Good demographics is another thing I’m interested in, like how many married couples are there, what’s the average age level, and what percentage of the people there need nursing care? I’d rather go some place where there’s a number of married couples because there seems to be greater vitality. I’ve seen that at Riverside. I didn’t particularly like the design of the units. They’re not as functional as I thought they could be.

Riverside East was nice. It was smaller, and the rooms were smaller. Everything was smaller. They seemed to have a meeting room, they do have some transportation, and they seem to have basically the same amenities. Part of the problem was that it was a little darker. It was not as bright as the other places that we were looking at, and that was a concern to us. But other than that, the people seemed friendly. It was just a much smaller group of people. A nurse was available most of the time, so that was interesting.

I visited this facility on several occasions to see my God-Mother. She has been a resident here for three years now and I most recently visited her in July of 2012. I love this facility for many reasons. It is in great shape, it is well kept, and very homey feeling. The staff is kind and helpful and most of all they know what they are doing. As a visitor I have always had a great experience with the friendly staff and the clean facility. The food is great, the rooms are spacious and they have a lot of activities for the residents. They also make sure that they provide great outings. The grounds are pretty and well maintained and she loves it here. I would highly recommend this facility if you are looking in this area for a place for yourself or for a loved one.

My Mom has been a resident of Riverside East for over 10 years. The care she has received in her one-bedroom apartment is the best, and the staff are all so loving in their interactions with her. When Mom 1st moved in, her primary need was for medication management. As her needs for care are changing due to the health issues with which she now struggles, Riverside's staff promptly addresses the issues involved, steps up the level of her care accordingly, and communicates directly and in a timely manner with me as well. Riverside East has become my "home-away-from-home" as I am made to feel so welcome whenever I visit Mom. In summary, I can't say enough about the comfort I experience with my Mom living at Riverside East. I highly recommend this retirement/assisted living facility.
