We did a tour of Stafford Suites in Kent. I thought it was top-notch, we like them. So far, it was the best that we've been to. What we like most about them was that they were more of an assisted living. My dad is going to need help with drops, and he's going to need to be transported probably by wheelchair, up and down to dining and different activities. They clicked all those boxes. The price was comparable. Some things were included at Stafford Suites, that weren't included at other places, and that they were going to charge extra for. I think they were a better fit for us.
They were all clean, the rooms were nice and well kept up. Everybody was friendly; it was a good, positive experience with them. The staff was very friendly, very open; she answered all our questions and was very patient. We just came through and she toured us through everything. She showed us the rooms and talked about what they provided. She just pretty much gave us an overview of the area. It wasn't during mealtime, but according to her, they do have a meal service. She did offer to send home a piece of pie with us, which was pretty nice. Because my dad has a terrible, sweet tooth, we didn't do that. I'm sure that they'd accommodate anything that we ask.

My mother is living in Stafford Suites for four years now. I like that they're small and they're caring. It's clean, the outside is very nice. I can count on the medics to tell me what's happening with her medications. They have a beauty salon, exercise classes, and they had more before COVID. I feel good about how she's being cared for. I would suggest maybe they sometimes take better care of notifying the family.

I live in Stafford Suites in Kent and it's a very nice community, very peaceful, and very well decorated. The management is very friendly, very nice, and always helpful whenever I need anything. They serve you three meals a day and they do have extra people if you need extra help. They have bus services that would take you to appointments and there are a lot of activities going on, like bingo games, movies, and things like that. They are very courteous and very good people. The food is very good too, and if you don't like the main dish, you can always get an alternate dish. My daughter even said this is The Hilton of the assisted living community.

Stafford Suites had both independent and assisted living. I liked it, but the rooms seemed a little dated, and I was looking for something with newer cabinets. I sat down with one of the directors who mentioned that the senior center is nearby, so they had a lot of activities for the people who live there. When I walked in, it seemed really clean and nice. The only drawback for me was the rooms needed a little bit of updating. Everyone was so friendly, and the person I spoke with was super nice and followed up with me after I visited. I had a really good feeling about them, and they're on the top of my list.

My father is in Stafford Suites. He has been there for six years. Stafford Suites has always been kind of a bright area. I like the fact that it is not dark. The caregivers are very friendly and knowledgeable. The set-up is really nice. They have entertainment for the people. They have trips to the stores or other places. What I like best is that the caregivers, in spite of the fact that it is not Alzheimer's care unit at all, they accommodated dad because he has been there for so long. I have always been really happy with him there. I am extremely pleased with their care level.

We have our parents settled in at Stafford Suites. It was a little bit smaller than some of the bigger communities. My parents said it felt more homey than the others and that some of the fancier ones felt like a nice hotel but not a home. This one seems more like a home to them, they said. The cost too was very doable as compared to some of the others. They were very nice. Strafford Suites fits my parents’ budget. They have a two-bedroom apartment and have schedules every day for activities and exercise. They go on outings in their own bus to different places. Right next to them is the Kent Senior Center, so they have more activities right next door if they can’t find what they want to do there. There’s a schedule posted every morning with all the events going on during the day.

Stafford Suites is the one my mom chose after looking at a few others. That is the one she likes. It is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. She is in a one-bedroom apartment. Everyone seems to have a great time. They all go on their activities together. I've eaten with her a few times, and the food is good. It's been great.
